Directions: You need to think of a question that you can ask your classmates where you would get
various responses. An example of a question might be, Who is your favorite NFL team? You do not
want your question to be too open to where you would get a different response from each student. You
want some of the same responses. You also want to note if the student was male or female. Once you
get the information, follow the steps and the example below to finish the assignment.

1. Place your data into an organized chart.

2. Use this data to make another chart that will make the numbers easier to analyze.

3. Now you need to make a bar graph showing the different responses for the total (boys and
girls), male, and female. This means you will have three different groups of data. Remember,
the series name is the category, Overall, Male, or Female and the values are the numbers that
go with each category.

4. Put on a header, save as Excel #5, and hand in. Your finished product should look something
like below:
