Because our target market is very much into getting the best and the fastest, key words are important
when addressing potential customers with any type of advertisement. Audience members do not want to
hear a long speech about what a company can offer, but would rather have a short and interesting ad that
tells them what they want to hear and make them feel like they have been missing something in their life,
and that product being with Orlandos Phone Company. Not only do key words keep new potential clients
engaged, so does the lighting, music, and even actors play a part in consumers buys. Every new client
wants to feel appreciated by the company selling the product, always want to feel younger, and peppy
music and light lighting always helps the viewers to be more engaged. Another important factor that I
learned from these advertisements when doing my own is physically showing the audience the features on
the products. Without showing off the uses and ways you can use the product, no one is going to be able
to believe it or purchase it. Without these small details, audiences wont be interested in investing their
money in a company that doesnt put out their best.

What kinds
of fonts?

The advertisement reaches out to the Spanish speaking world, which I believe that it is the right
choices because that is the dominant language of Buenos Aires. The commercials all seem low
tech which shows that there technology is not as advanced as the one we have here in the United
States. They both also were outside and didnt actually advertise a product more like places. This
makes sense because during our research we found out that Argentina is a tourist sight and has
many visitors a year. The advertisements can be made better by adding more color. The zoo one
was dim and really out of style which it was filmed in the early 2000s. It also played really sad
music well it was mellow which did follow the theme of the commercial. It was about two
animals meeting each other, but they are from two completely different parts of the world, they
become friends and at the end they have to go back home but they will meet again. The second
one had better picture quality, but it wasn't as meaningful because it was basically a really long
slide show. I am not certain when that one was aired or if it was aired at all, but the music also
needed to probably be in Spanish. Overall the commercials were okay they weren't the best I
have seen, but again maybe that is a normal commercial for that country.

Step 2: Our Medium

We chose digital billboard and outdoor advertising as our medium because of the area where
the board will be located, because it is outside of our consumers homes. There would be a
large amount of people that would be around the advertisement, making new clients to put
no effort in seeing what Orlandos Phones has to offer. The age that we are targeting is more
likely to see advertisements out in public and less likely to see any advertisements provided
on social media or magazines.

From: Annah Jensen
Subject: 2:2 Advertisement

Our target audience are business owners from the ages 50 and up. From reviewing videos for our
genre analysis, the most important thing for an advertisement is to get the simple idea across to
the customers. Potential customers will not listen or pay attention to any ad if it is not short,
interesting, and overall beneficial for them with only about thirty seconds of them paying
attention. Due to this reason, making our ad interesting and presenting the main points in a big
manner was important. This advertising is completely different from what we would have made
for a New Mexican audience because of the language, the currency and vision we had for our
specific target customers. Of course a majority of New Mexicans do speak Spanish, but because
almost everything in New Mexico is written, read, and advertised in English, it would be a wiser
choice.
The original plan for our ad was to incorporate a picture of a smartphone and its major features.
Later on while making the ad, we decided to make it more detailed and informative, focusing
more on letting our target market know about the discount when purchasing the bundle. We
added more information about what customers can get out of our product in smaller font, and
made specific areas pop out more with using pictures, as well as bold fonts and colors. We also
wanted to incorporate a catch phrase in order to catch the audiences attention with what our
main advertisement is, The Bundle, The Better. Originally I wanted to incorporate other
Spanish ads with ours on a PowerPoint to make the fade in and out, just like a digital billboard
and wallscapes do. Unfortunately, that feature wont work when turning in our assignments
because it must be in PDF form. Besides that, nothing else was difficult to work with.
Like I had mentioned previously, many potential customers want advertisements to get to the
point, say what is being offered right away, want to be entertained while being informed, and
want things to be easy for them. Our audience is most likely going to have these expectations so
working on these main points that we wanted our audience to see on the advertisements
influenced a lot of decisions when creating our final product. Making the discount number
visible and bright red, putting the words The Bundle, The Better at the top, having pictures
instead of words showing the smartphone features, and also having Orlandos Phones location at
the top to help potential customers navigate their way to purchasing a new phone and plan. The
final product ended up turning out the way we had hoped. Unfortunately, the fading in and out of
the advertisements was not able to work, but the advertisement we created focused on the

smartphone and had enough information for our target market to be engaged and interested in
Orlandos Phones product.
