4. SUMMARY
Flexi Power Module FPMA version 470139A.204 will provide support for parallel operation
of two FPMA modules in stack installations as well as Surge Protection Device (SPD)
installation into the AC connection box.
Flexi Power Module FPMA version 470139A.204 can be used with Flexi RF Modules in
case that AC supply is used with Flexi RF Module.
Same Flexi Power AC/DC (FPAA) and Flexi Power Battery Modules (FPBA or FPBB) can
be used with Flexi Power Module FPMA versions 470139A.101 103 and 470139A.204.
Flexi Power Module FPMA version 470139A.204 has same alarms as Flexi Power Module
FPMA versions 470139A.101 103.
5. DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Flexi Power Module (FPMA) is an optional module. It comprises FPMA mechanics and AC
and DC interfaces. The actual power sub-modules are:
Flexi Power AC/DC Module (FPAA)
Flexi Power Battery Module (FPBA or FPBB)
Flexi Power Module FPMA version 470139A.204 will provide support for parallel operation
of two FPMA modules in stack installations as well as Surge Protection Device (SPD)
installation into the AC connection box.
Main changes made to FPMA version 470139A.204 are the new AC connection box and
new DC cable harness.
New AC connection box provides the space for Surge Protection Device (SPD) installation.
Screws for DIN-rail fastening for SPD installations are included to FPMA delivery. Surge
Protection Devices are recommended to be used on outdoor conditions.
New DC cable harness (995370_) has four different length DC cables with multi-beam
connectors. The longest (800mm) DC cable with multi-beam connector can be used to
provide DC supply for one Flexi RF Module in such cases that AC supply is used for the
RF Module on feederless site solution.
DC cable assembly includes Power Cable Assembly (995069_), which is connected either
to the DC input of the Flexi System Module or to the DC cable terminal of another FPMA
version 470139A.204.
Flexi Power Module FPMA version 470139A.204 is not dependent on BTS software
release, and does not have effect to HW/SW compatibility.
Flexi Power Module FPMA version 470139A.204 has two alarms as Flexi Power Module
FPMA versions 470139A.10x.
Flexi Power Module FPMA version 470139A.204 and Flexi Power Module FPMA version
470139A.10x can be installed on a stack in order to support parallel operation of FPAA
and FPBA (or FPBB) for increased output power. Connection to the Flexi System Module
shall be made from a FPMA version 470139A.204, FPMA version 470139A.10x can be
add as a second FPMA module.
Flexi Power Module FPMA version 470139A.204 does not affect the performance of the
Flexi BTS modules.
Flexi Power Module FPMA version 470139A.204 does not impact the system performance
or the end user.
Flexi Power Module FPMA version 204 and Flexi Power Module FPMA versions
470139A.10x have their own spare parts.
DC supply cable assembly 994818A can be used only on Flexi Power Module
FPMA versions 470139A.10x.
DC supply cable assembly 995370A can be used only on Flexi Power Module
FPMA version 470139A.204.
Same Flexi Power AC/DC (FPAA) and Flexi Power Battery Modules (FPBA or FPBB) can
be used with Flexi Power Module FPMA versions 470139A.101 103 and 470139A.204.
Note! FPMA module shall be equipped either with FPBA (470141A) or FPBB
(472113A). Mixing of these battery types is not allowed.
6. INSTRUCTIONS
Note!
All electrical installations must be carried out according to the national wiring rules
and regulations. Installation must be done by authorized personnel only.
Two FPMAs can be installed in a stack to support FPAA and FPBA (or FPBB) operating in
parallel for increased output power.
Open the cable entries for second power cable of the DC cable harness, and remove
the rubber boots.
Figure 6: Open the cable entries and remove the rubber boots
Route the second power cable through the rubber boots and connect power cable to
AWG 10 size cable terminals.
In case FPMA alarms will be connected to Flexi System Alarms, connect alarm cables.
Install the FPAA and/or FPBA (or FPBB) modules and connect the DC cable harness to
Flexi System Module.
Note!
All electrical installations must be carried out according to the national wiring
rules and regulations. Installation must be done by authorized personnel only.
Optional Surge Protection Device (SPD) 472400A has three modules for the secondary
protection of L N and one module for the secondary protection of N PE. SPD has
overheat protection, failure indication and contacts for remote alarm signals.
1. Install DIN rail to AC connection plate with two M5x6 screws (delivered with FPMA)
Figure 10: Install DIN rail to AC connection plate with two M5 screws
After a failure, SPD will be automatically disconnected from the power line through the
internal fuse system (BTS is operational, but looses the surge protection).
The display window changes from green to red.
Alarm interfaces 1 2 are open and 2 3 are closed.
When the display window is red or there is alarm on the SPD, the device should be
replaced.
