INTERNAL WIRING

Internal wiring in the building shall be done in

recessed conduit system using PVC insulated
copper conductor single core cables conforming to
IS 696/1997 in rigid PVC conduits conforming to
IS 9537 (Part 3)/ 1983. Light point, Ceiling and
Exhaust Fan point, 5 Amps plug point etc. shall be
wired with 1.5 sqmm PVC insulated copper
conductor cable.
All switches shall be of approved make and
ISI marked.(normal switches)

Circuit wiring from the nearest Distribution Board/

Switch Board with 2 nos. 2.5 sqmm copper
conductor cable and 1 no. 1.5 sqmm PVC
insulated copper earth wire shall be deemed to
have been included in the rate for point wiring.
No extra payment shall be allowed for such
circuit wiring.
Submain wiring , where specifically mentioned
in the schedule, shall be payable on a linear
basis. (all point wiring is for all lengths/ includes
cutting the wall and making good the same
wherever required)
The electrical contractor is expected to closely
coordinate the work with the interior contractor and
do his work before closing up of the partitions/
false ceiling etc. so that the work is not delayed in
any way.There might be some cutting of walls required
for electrical work and cutting of ceiling and fixing of
iron rods etc. for ceiling fans/ extra length of rods for
ceiling fans (nothing extra shall be payable for the
same.)(All switches shall be of approved modular types)

15 Earthing
Earthing the installation as per IE rules conforming to
IS 3043-1987 or latest amendment by making earth
station with 600mm x 600mm x 6mm minimum
thick copper plate electrode to be installed such that
its top edge shall be at a minimum depth of 1.5m
below ground level after preparation of ground with
charcoal and salt and connecting the 25mm x 6mm
copper earth load-in-stop (upto panel by
bolting and then brazing to the copper plate
complete with copper bolts of suitable length, double
nuts and washer pipe with funnel for watering
arrangement. All copper insulating strips shall be
PVC sleeved/ insulated through the total length.The
earthing installation shall be provided by 300mm x 300
mm and 300mm depth inside dimensions masonry
inspection pit with c.i. hinged cover having locking
