Reinstalling Windows 10 on Chuwi HI12

(Dual OS)

1. Format large SD card in USB3 reader

(EXFAT or NTFS Masterboot Record) name
it WINPE
2. Copy Chuwi Hi12 Win10 OS (Dual
OS).rar to SD card
3. Use UnRarX.app to expand it on the SD
card
4. Format Titanium USB2 stick Fat32
Masterboot Record name it WINPE
5. Copy from USB3 SD card all files except
large win image file to USB2 stick
6. Fully charge Chuwi HI12
7. Disconnect power cable and connect USB2
Stick to USB3 input, USB3 reader with large
SD Card to USB2 input
8. Power on pressing ESC on attached
keyboard (or USB keyboard) multiple times
till you enter BIOS
9. Select Boot Override and boot from USB2
Stick in USB3 input
10. If you do not enter windows setup (image
install) then you may have to reboot and
repeat steps 8 &9.
11. Windows image should be installed
automatically.
12. After Windows image have been installed
remove all USB and even any Micro SD cards
from Chuwi HI12
13. Go through Windows setup choosing your
language, etc

Reinstalling Android 5.1 on Chuwi HI12

(Dual OS)
1. Use UnRarX.app to expand Chuwi Hi12
Android OS (Dual OS).rar
2. Use Stut Expander to expand
cht_cr_mrd_w-flashfiles-
userdebug.softteam_P02A_Ilife_C122_Chuwi
_CW-Hi12_NG_W_DS_V1.0.1.zip
3. Use UnRarX.app to expand Hi12.rar
(Extracting flash-no-erase-all.json)
4. If you do not want to erase your Windows
10 partition replace flash.json in the folder
created from expanding Chuwi Hi12 Android
OS (Dual OS).rar (and zip) with flash-no-
erase-all.json created from expanding
Hi12.rar
5. If you want to erase your Windows 10
partition then skip steps 3 & 4
6. Press and hold Vol up+down Rocker key on
Chuwi HI12 till you see Fastboot mode appear
on the screen
7. Use Intel Phone Flashing tool after
expanding it from
PhoneFlashToolLite_5.5.2.0_mac64.zip (for
Mac OS X) or Windows equivalent to select
cht_cr_mrd_w-flashfiles-
userdebug.softteam_P02A_Ilife_C122_Chuwi
_CW-Hi12_NG_W_DS_V1.0.1.zip and flash it
after setting it to Recover
8. Reboot

Reinstalling Remix OS 2.0 (based on Android

5.1) on Chuwi HI12 (Dual OS)
1. Use UnRarX.app to expand Chuwi Hi12
Remix 2.0 (Dual OS).rar to Remix 2.0 folder
2. If you do not want to erase your Windows
10 partition delete flash.json in the Remix 2.0
folder created from expanding Chuwi Hi12
Remix 2.0 (Dual OS).rar leave only flash-no-
erase-all.json
3. If you do want to erase your Windows 10
partition delete flash-no-erase-all.json in the
Remix 2.0 folder created from expanding
Chuwi Hi12 Remix 2.0 (Dual OS).rar leave
only flash.json
4. Press and hold Vol up+down Rocker key on
Chuwi HI12 till you see Fastboot mode appear
on the screen
5. Use Intel Phone Flashing tool after
expanding it from
PhoneFlashToolLite_5.5.2.0_mac64.zip (for
Mac OS X) or Windows equivalent to select
whichever *.json file (either flash-no-erase-
all.json or flash.json) and flash it
6. Reboot
