Introduction

Having gravity in the Earth causes to pull everything as objects downward; meanwhile in
some other planets have less gravity than Earth. Gravity would lead to free fall, a motion
from the influence of gravity without any air resistance. The objects falling in Earth will have
the acceleration at the approximate rate at 10m/s*s. Regarding to free falling, there is a
included couple of topics which is the distance and the velocity. Velocity will identify the
traveling speed of the dropped object from the higher level and simultaneously, distance will
cover the acceleration of the object starting from the initial point. Therefore, we have come
up with an experiment by dropping a piece of solid from the fourth floor of the school. The
objects are two types of different weights of balls, volleyball and a heavy ball. During
dropping balls, there will be three recorders who record time. Additionally, one of our
teammates will responsible for collecting after dropping from the higher levels. But before
recording, we will measure the height in meters to identify
objective
1. To ensure that every object will be falling to the ground at the same time.
2. To determine the gravitional acceration and the function in each time.
materials/setup
-futsal ball
-volley ball
-measuring tape
-phone ( record time )
procedure
1. assign roles for each menber:
a. 3 timer at the 4 floor( with extra tas each)
i. Timer A: Drop ball
ii. Timer B: Take note
iii. Timer C: Measure with a measuring tape
b. 1 ball collector
2. Timers go to 4 floor with
a. 6 ball ( 3 futsal + 3 volley balls)
b. Measuring tape
c. 3 stopewatches (phone)
d. Worksheet
e. Pen/pencil
3. Timer C use measuring tape to measure the height from the balcony to the ground
with assistance from ball collector on the ground floor
4. Timer B note down the measured height
5. All timers get ready to record the data
6. Timer A drop the ball and at the same time, give a signal to start time recording until
the ball hit the ground.(All timers measure the time separately )
7. Timer B write down all timers measurement in the workdsheet
8. Repeat for trail #2 and #3, Then move on to next object(3 more trials)
9. Ball collector bring all the balls back to the lab

Result
The average of the heavy ball is around 1.92 and the distance is around 18.55 meter.
The average of the light ball is around 1.79 and the the distance is around 16.082
meter.
conclustion
It is no matter what mass the ball are because They still fall at the same time. As you
can see in our experiment, that the average of two types of balls are almost equal because it
is gravity in the Earth. The result of the heavy balls are around 1.92 seconds and light balls
are around 1.79 seconds.
