General Interview Questions for Group A and Group B
1. In your opinion, what is Brain Drain? How does it affect to Malaysia and Singapore? Note: If participants are not aware of brain drain, give the definition The Brain Drain is the phenomenon regarding to the impact of severe emigration of professionals, usually from a less developed home country to a more developed host country. and ask the second part of the question. 2. We would like to know whether personality has influence on your decision-making process in choosing which country to work in. How would you describe yourself? 3. Push factors are the attributes in home country which forcefully push people emigrate from the home country. What are the push factors in Malaysia that make you choose to work in Singapore? Rank in order of importance. Note: Do let the participant to list out the factors first, note the factors down while the participant is listing verbally, then repeat the factors that he/she has mentioned and ask the participant to rank. 4. Pull factors are the attributes in host country which attract people to immigrate to the host country. What are the pull factors in Singapore that make you choose to work in Singapore? Do you regret your decision of working in Singapore? Why and why not? 5. Will you consider returning to Malaysia? Why and why not? It is the human experience of the employee-organization relationship.Some of the examples are providing good work-life balance, opportunities of self- actualization, rewards and supervisory behavior. 4.
