Students will use their knowledge of Soundtrap to create a project that exemplifies
their proficiency with it
Students will critically think about what makes a remix or mash-up good
Goals:
School-Issued computers and headphones for in-class work. Students are expected
to do the majority of this project outside of class.

o 1pt Only one song used
o 3pts 2 songs that are identical
o 4pts 2 songs that are different
o Extra Credit: Up to 3 points extra credit
1 pt for each additional song mixed in
Musicianship (4 pts)
o 1pt Keys and Tempo both do not match up at all
o 2pts Key or Tempo do not match up at all
o 3pts Slight Funkiness in either rhythm or key (tempo slightly off or keys might not
exactly match up)

Mash-Up Project
In this project, you will be using Soundtrap to mix together 2 or more songs of different
genres together (Ex: Rap and Opera; Jazz and Metal) to create a mix that flows well together.
The Project must be at least 64 measures long and must contain an intro, outro, and
hook.
After making your mix and presenting your mix, you will write a short two paragraph
reflection detailing how you came to make your mix as well as what you may have learned or
come to understand while doing this project.
