Addition: Overall, addition is pretty well mastered by the majority of
the class with the exception of the following:

A. Nathan, Bianca, Claire, Hannah and Carly need extra help.

B. Luke has major issues with addition.
C. Hugh, Juan and Holly show complete mastery of addition.

Subtraction: Approximately one-half of the class is proficient in

subtraction.
A. Sarah, Kiara need extra help.
B. Patrick, Claire and Luke have major issues while Nathan and
Molly totally don't get subtraction at all.
C. Hugh, Bianca, Jack, Holly and Carly have a good grasp on
subtraction but may be prone to careless mistakes.
D. Juan, Cody, Jamal and Hannah show complete mastery of
subtraction.

Division: 80% of the class is failing division. MAJOR ISSUE HERE

A. Hugh, Nathan, Bianca, Molly, Claire, Jamal, Hannah and Carly
need extra help while Patrick, Sarah, Kiara, Holly and Luke totally
don't get it division at all.
B. Jack appears to have a good grasp on division but may be
making careless mistakes.
B. Only Cody and Juan show complete mastery of division.

Individuals of note:
A. Consider using Juan Jack and Cody as tutors in the classroom
for helping others in need of help.
B. Nathan, Clair and Luke are struggling in all areas of basic math.
Luke in particular may be in need of further assessment for learning
disabilities.

Teacher Notes:
A. Addition covered adequately but should be revisited from time
to time to keep students on top of their game.
B. Subtraction needs to be reviewed and rienforced. Need to check
and see if my lesson can be improved upon. See if a common thread
exhist that may identify an area where clarification or rienforcement
may need to be addressed in the lesson/s.

C. May need to start from scratch with my lesson/s on division.

Potential areas of concern might include rushing the students from the
unit on subtraction too soon. May need to break the division process
down into simpler examples and build upon them only when the
majority of students can show me proof of understanding before
moving on to more complex concepts.

D. Consider having a collegue review my division lessons for

accuracy and potential areas that may need to be strengthened by me.
