corrected accordingly, and areas labeled as
potentially plagiarized should be checked for proper
citation.
Before using the app, the teacher should give a brief
lecture explaining the app's use. It should be noted
that app based grammar suggestions in particular
should be taken with the proverbial grain of salt.
This app would be particularly useful in conjunction
with one-on-one, student-teacher conferences, in
which the teacher can briefly review the app's
suggestions, and teach students how to decide
which suggestions are valid, and which may
legitimately be ignored.

evaluate, synthesize, and communicate information.
Students will be divided into groups of three or four.
Each group will be assigned a particular subject (a
short story, news article, author, or similar subject of
focus). The teacher will then send an email to each
student that will include an Google Slides invitation
to edit link (a different link will be provided for each
group). Each group will then work collaboratively to
create a slideshow presentation focusing on their
respective (previously assigned) subject. After the
slideshow is completed, the groups will present their
finished product.
Google Slides allows for all members of a group to
make and view edits to the slideshow simultaneously
and in real time. Google slides also has a comment
and chat function that allows students to
communicate ideas and questions without editing
the document. Google Slides also has a track
changes feature that allows students to see what
changes have been made to the document. The track
changes feature also keeps track of the contributions
of each student, allowing the teacher to note who
