The JCB Engine BSII has already been well received on the 4DX, 3DX Super and 3DX Xtra since July
2010, also on the 3DX since January 2011 in South zone. Over 1,700 backhoes powered by JCB engine
have already been supplied in India. And this is in addition to the 150,000
000 engines
engine supplied by JCB
worldwide since 2005.
Today, JCB are the best prepared amongst all competition, to supply Backhoe compliant to BS III.

RTO registration for BS II and BSIII machines :

As per Government of India notification GSR 276(E) dated 10th April 2007, Engines fitted on all tyred
Constructtion equipments, manufactured from 1st April2011 need to comply with BS III emission norms.

Clause no 12 of notification reads -

Its clear that products manufactured prior 31st March 2011 and lying in stock of JCB or its dealer can be
sold and registered with local RTO even beyond 1st April 2011.

Please explain this aspect to the local RTO wherever required.

JCB backhoes comply with the new BSIII norms and have been certified as such by ARAI, Pune. Copy of certificates
already forwarded to the Respective Zonal Offices.

BSII Machine stocks at the dealerships and company stockyard need to be cleared first before start of sale of BSIII.

Warranty:
All JCB Backhoe Loaders with JCB Engines now come with One Year Unlimited Hours Warranty.

Pricing:
Please note that the implementation of the BSIII norms and also the severe commodity (eg steel, rubber,
etc) inflation, has affected all construction equipment manufacturers including JCB.

The machine basic price is being increased by ` 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty thousand only) across
BHL range*, effective 1st April2011.

This will only partly mitigate the input cost increases on the new engine and spiraling commodity price
inflation. The next price correction will be effected in June2011.
