CHAPTER 2: OVERVIEW OF INDUSTRIAL TRAINING ACTIVITIES

2.1 Foreword of Industrial Training

For my industrial training, I have been accepted to do my practical in Vis


Mechatronic. During this 6 month, I have been assigned to technician department. There
was a big different when working in this department and I am lucky enough to be given
an important role to complete tasks.

2.2 Vis Mechatronic Working Schedule

My work schedule at Vis Mechatronic Sdn Bhd is from Monday to Friday. Table
2.2.1 on the following page displays the standard work schedule at Vis Mechatronic Sdn
Bhd.

2.3 SUMMARY OF INDUSTRIAL TRAINING ACTIVITIES

The following is the summary of the daily activities of my task that has been
carried out according to the weeks during the entire duration of industrial training from
22th June 2015 to 6th of November 2015.

1ST WEEK (22 JUNE 2015 26 JUNE 2015)


Reporting for industrial training at Vis mechatronic Sdn. Bhd.
Introduce myself to all the colleagues and get introduction from the colleagues.
Have orientation day with HR department. They explained about the rules and
regulation of Vis Mechatronic Sdn Bhd.
I have been assigned to work at Technician Department.
Learned on how Training Kits made up and type of kits.

2ND WEEK (29 JUNE 2015 3 JULY 2015)


Learned to find out the models of each machine used.
Learned the function of the machine.
Learned to record the training kits on tray.
Learned to fix components on pneumatic training kit.

3RD WEEK (6 JULY 2015 10 JULY 2015)


Learned some clerical works such as printing, typing, and binding.
Learned to formatting computers in the computer lab.
Learned to install software such as solid work, Movie Maker, AutoCAD and so
on into the laptop and computer.
Learned to repair students laptop.

4TH WEEK (13 JULY 2015 17 JULY 2015)
Learned to unplug damage components and replace new.
Learned the process flow of each station with technician guidance.
Learned to restore empty tray.
Public holiday for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

5TH WEEK (20 JULY 2015 24 JULY 2015)


Registering students into fingerprint attendance system.
Key in all the students informations into Essl system.
Continue key in all the students informations into Essl system.
Learned to check students files.
Learned to filling the receipts into different files.

6TH WEEK (27 JULY 2015 31 JULY 2015)


Learned to install CX-programmer.
Learned to check PLC boards using CX-programming.
Learned to unplug damage components and replace new.
Learned to check model components.
Learned to fix components on PLC training kit.

7TH WEEK (3 AUGUST 2015 7 AUGUST 2015)


Learned some process flow with my technician guidance.
Learned to install Solid Work.
Learned to edit all the staff and students attendance from fingerprint system.
Continue to edit all the staff and students attendance from fingerprint system.

8TH WEEK (10 AUGUST 2015 14 AUGUST 2015)
Registering new students into collage.
Involved myself at orientation week of new students.
Continue involved myself at orientation week of new students.
Shared experience of studying engineering.
Gave briefing of Occupational Safety and Health Administration(OSHA).

9TH WEEK (17 AUGUST 2015 21 AUGUST 2015)


Took Multimedia class for students.
Teach student, to edit video in movie maker.
Edit the students and staffs daily attendance from finger print system.
Installed movie maker software in students laptop.
Prepare notes for students.

10TH WEEK (24 AUGUST 2015 28 AUGUST 2015)


Collected students project videos.
Uploads videos in YouTube.
Fixing finger print system at Vis mechatronic Sdn. Bhd at Sri Muda.
Registering the students into finger print systems.
Key in students details such as name, address, i/c number into finger print
system.
I have teach one of the admin at Sri Muda on how to operate the finger print
system.

11TH WEEK (31 AUGUST 2015 4 SEPTEMBER 2015)
Public holiday for National day.
Fabrication milling machine.
Used nylon for change shape in milling machine.
Using a mallet to knock the shaft.
Drawing 3D assembly.

12TH WEEK (7 SEPTEMBER 2015 11 SEPTEMBER 2015)


Assembly touch screen (panel master) on station mps.
Check the touch screen by using power supply.
Programming (Pm-designer) for translate to PLC.
Assemble the touch screen at students Lab Room.

13TH WEEK (14 SEPTEMBER 2015 18 SEPTEMBER 2015)


Help Adviser to carry out the old stock of training kits.
Check training kits.
Public holiday for Hari Malaysia.
Continue help Adviser to carry out the old stock of training kits.
Prepare an invoice for training kits.

14TH WEEK (21 SEPTEMBER 2015 25 SEPTEMBER 2015)


Check students and staffs daily attendance by using finger print system.
Installing the Auto Cad on the entire computer.
Public Holiday for Hari Raya Haji.
Assemble the computer in computer room.
Check students and staffs daily attendance by using finger print system.

15TH WEEK (28 SEPTEMBER 2015 - 02 OCTOBER 2015)
Draw Auto Cad 2D.
Draw c-plat 1 and c-plat 2.
Draw 1 and Ded i.
Draw Head Shaft, Nozzle lock, Base Plate and Push Plate.
Draw Push head and Nozzle Head.

16TH WEEK (05 OCTOBER 2015 19 OCTOBER 2015)


Design a new website.
Create account on joomla.
Collected information about Background Company.
Check severs connection.
Change bios of pc.

17TH WEEK (12 OCTOBER 2015 16 OCTOBER 2015)


Assembler the component of electro-pneumatic on training kit.
Using 4/2 way double solenoid valve; 15, 22, 32 represent the mm width of the
valve.
Using single acting pull type cylinder and speed valve.
Set 3 varies tower light.
5/2 way DCR air actuation.

18TH WEEK (19 OCTOBER 2015 23 OCTOBER 2015)


Prepared for Vis NAAM program.
Arrange the students for participate.

19TH WEEK (26 OCTOBER 2015 30 OCTOBER 2015)
Check the training kits.
Unplug and replace the damage component.
Stock checking.
Prepare an invoice.
Recheck the Training kit ones fix.
Learned the process flow of each station with my technician guidance.

20TH WEEK (02 NOVEMBER 2015 06 NOVEMBER 2015)


Get reject board from lab; stick a red tape on board.
Checking the reject board and repair back.
Screw the components parts.
Programming on pc to check training board to function.
Run the cx program and check start button and manual button.
