It is with utmost pleasure that we, team Biryanir Aloo, bring to

you our special publication titled, PROFESSOR SAIFUL MAJID: THE HERO
BEHIND SCORES OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP TALES. As the title suggests, this
magazine mainly features the person- who is as humble as anyone could
be- behind the success stories of all the entrepreneurs who have
graduated from IBA and hence been fortunate enough to get him as a

course instructor. Here, we try to bring together all the tiny but massively
significant stories of Entrepreneur Ibaites and their interactions with
everyones all-time favorite professor: A.K.M Saiful Majid.
It is needless to mention that Professor Saiful Majid is an extraordinary
teacher: he is a pillar of support, an epitome of strength and a ray of hope
in times of despair for all his students. He always goes extra miles to
ensure that every student he encounters is benefitted from him in some
way or the other. Being comparable to an ocean of knowledge, he is not
someone who just teaches theories and checks script. He is someone who
inspires students in countless ways, be it through bringing industry-
popular entrepreneurs in class or through giving lectures on successful
entrepreneurs home and abroad. A teachers impact on a students life can
go a long way and none knows it better than Professor Saiful Majid
himself.

This magazine has compiled the experiences of highly successful and


established entrepreneurs like Mr. Risalat Alvee (founder of Analyzen) and
also of those role models like Ayman Sadiq (founder of 10 Minute School)
whose ventures are just taking flight towards reaching the highest heights
of success. The articles inside do not talk about just successes ; they also
mention how these very successful entrepreneurs have faced failures
countless times and how Professor Saiful Majid was always there to pull
them up from distress with his ever-present heartwarming smile and
extremely helpful suggestions.

We hope that the readers have a good time reading through our articles
and by knowing Professor Saiful Majid better, be able to appreciate him for
the immeasurable influence he has had and continues to have on anyone
he encounters.
THE MAN WHO HAS
INSPIRED COUNTLESS STUDENTS
I am on the verge of starting my entrepreneurial journey and standing at
this critical stage of my life, I cannot really overstate how much influence
Majid sir has had in making me believe in my dreams. Before sixth
semester and before I met this legendary person, my dream was to join
a reputed MNC. But it is sir who made me realize that the dream of mine
was not big enough. Ever since the first day when he talked about Khan
Academys founder Salman Khan and gave us his insight on
entrepreneurship, my view on life changed: a desire to be an
entrepreneur and make my family, my nation, and most importantly Sir
proud was born. So, I tried my best to attend all his classes. There were
times I would think that I do not have the ability to do the humungous
task of creating and organizing a business, but then I would immediately
think back on Sirs classes and his immensely inspiring lectures on
perseverance, hard-work, struggles, etc. would ring in my ears making
me shake off my doubts and believe in myself and my abilities. It was
not just the self-confidence that I gained in his classes that made me
think of starting a business of own. Rather, it was the belief that Sir
would always be there to guide my through my darkest times and hence
show me the light that kept me going. Whats important to mention
here is that Sirs lectures did not just instill in me a desire to become an
entrepreneur ; it made me see the whole concept of entrepreneurship as
a systematic process involving seeking opportunities, taking risks, so on
and so forth. After attending his spell-binding classes diligent, today I
stand as a complete different person: someone who is more confident,
more ambitious and more dedicated than she ever was before. I hope to
start my venture next year and for me the most important thing right
now is Sirs blessing. I believe that if I have Sirs blessings, no amount of
hurdles will be able to stop me from becoming who I want to be.
Majid sir breathed life into my soul. Without him I was just a directionless
mass of flesh and blood with little purpose other than meeting the
biological functions of my body. When born, I always felt I was meant for
great things. Even after having searched for this all my life, I turned up as
empty as the day I was born. That is until I met this wonderful man who
changed not only the perspective I held, but the very fibre of my being. I
could conclude all this by simply saying he changed me, but that would be
a huge injustice and a gross misrepresentation of his influence in the

Entrepreneurship was a foreign word and
an even more foreign concept to me until
he shed light on this mysterious concept. It
became an obsession that I chased with
passion, a passion that he cultured and
nurtured in me. This is to a great man and
an even greater being. Majid sir, tussi great

moments of my life. These moments dictated the course my life would
take, and maneuvered me into an irreversible position for better or worse.
Being born was one, learning to read was another and meeting him was
the third. A smart person would easily see that those first achievements
have no intrinsic value other than the fact that they facilitate and enrich
my fated meeting with this gem of a man. Entrepreneurship was an ever
elusive concept, just out of my reach no matter how hard I tried to grasp it
between my fingers. Majid sir plucked this enigma out of the unreachable
and gently and placed it in my knowing hands. I was taken over by a new
ambition, engulfed in a fiery need to pursue all my latent passions. Majid
sir was there throughout, fostering this new found purpose with delicate,
experienced care. To you, sir, I have so many things to say. If only there

This young student entrepreneur has
won the hearts of his students with
his super teaching skills and in his
terms Living the Dream. Heres a
peek into his work so far.
Ayman is a undergrad from IBA and is
a major in finance. However his
interest lies in marketing. He has been
a math instructor of mentors for the
last three years and has a unique style
of teaching. It is his love for teaching
that drove him into starting up
something like 10 minute school.
Ayman dreams to become a teacher, a motivational speaker and a multi-
platform entrepreneur in the future. Ideas fascinate him and he often runs into
conversations with complete strangers while discussing an idea. Ayman is a
very cheerful and optimistic person and feels that happiness and passion is
what should drive someone towards their career. Ayman has three startups
till now. The third one is an entertainment website called etojoss.com.
This endeavor has been taken by him and his celebrity school friend, Salman
Muqtadir (popular as SalmoN TheBrownFish on Youtube). His most discussed
and innovative start-up is 10 minute school. 10 Minute School is the first
ever site in Bangladesh through which students can learn from the tutorials,
practice from the given tests, monitor their progress, compare with their peers
& others, get every single information needed which otherwise isnt available
in the internet, and all this completely free of cost.
Successes always come with
failures. Ayman started working on
this idea when he was a
sophomore in IBA back in 2013. He
tried to pull it off with the help of
two professional website
development firms but both the
trials ended up in wretched
failures. Lastly he has been able to
launch it successfully this year on
17th May with the help of Raied, a
BUET student who is a self-taught
developer himself.
Ayman has worked with a large
team consisting of students of
different universities and different
disciplines. His amazing team
consists of students from IBA (BBA Anyone can give quizzes based on SSC
23rd batch specially), DU, BUET, syllabus, HSC syllabus, different
NSU, BUP and BRAC. admission tests including IBA,
Medical, Engineering, public

interesting videos that teach students
topics ranging from mathematics,
physics and chemistry and ends to
subjects like English. These are short
YouTube videos with very insightful
information to make the students
learn the basic easily. Besides these
there are numerous infographics on
different university admission and
their necessaries.
He was fascinated with the idea of
teaching just after he started teaching
in batches. The very idea of
motivating someone and creating a
positive dent in his/her life made
Ayman even more interested in
teaching. So he used to help his
students online as well and soon
figured out that there should be a
more convenient approach of
delivering educational content with
ease and efficiency. Inspired by Khan
Academy and a few YouTube tutorial
channels, he planned to create a
platform where people could get all
types of support for the local courses
in our country. And that is how the
idea of 10 minute school came.

Kazi Muhtassim Hassan, a young entrepreneur of just 29 years, had a
childhood to which many of us can relate. He was born in a middle-
income family where the father was a government official and the
mother a school teacher. From an early childhood, he was a happy-go-
lucky, restless, mischievous kid with little interest in studies.
Unfortunately for him, his parents and his siblings were highly
educated and because it seemed to others that he was not following.

workaholic person, he realized that
he did not have anything to do after
office hours and thus he needed
more work. He also had a friend
whose feelings were almost the
same as his and hence once during
a drunken conversation, they both
decided to start a business. That
conversation was his triggering
event, and from the next day after
that conversation, his life as a
successful entrepreneur started

Sababa Tania Shiney, the beautiful, tall sister from 21st batch of Institute of
Business Administration, University of Dhaka. In early January, this year, she
told me she was busy working with something small but didnt quite tell what
it was as she still had to give shape to her work. I remember wondering a little
what it could be. The something small turned out to be her business named
PORIPAATI.

BACKGROUND
Sababa Tania Shineys father served in
the Bangladesh Army and has currently
retired. She spent her high school and
college in Mymensing Cadet College. She is
currently studying undergrad at the best business
school of the country IBA, DU as a final year
student and will graduate next year. Her business
venture is Poripaati.

INDUSTRY BACKGROUND
In Bangladesh, the economy is rising so is the income of our people. Both men
and women of the country are working for living which is increasing the
expenditure of every family. People are not only concerned with completing
and purchasing their basic needs anymore. Even a decade ago people used to
make food at home and used to go to restaurant less frequently they do now.
Also most of the lower income people are working on things like garments and
construction works and very few are willing to work at home to serve the

that slowly our attention is moving towards service from commodities and we
are more looking towards an easier life than less costly. In such situation of

is a brilliant idea as it provides bubus to clean houses and rooms.

Poripaati is a on demand, high frequency home services provider that currently
provide Bubu on demand for house cleaning purposes. Their focus is on
