Technology is everywhere in education, Public schools in the United States now provide at least
one computer for every five students (Herold, 2017). The Clark County School district recently
got approved 17 million dollars to upgrade technology. Integrating technology into the
curriculum is a priority in most schools today especially elementary schools. Technology should
and extend student learning daily. The only challenge that comes with Technology is how and
when to use it, and how much of it to use so you dont take away time from the other curriculum.
For many teachers, a lack of personal experience with technology presents an additional
challenge. To have technology-based activities and projects into their curriculum, those teachers
first must find the time to learn to use the tools and understand the terminology necessary for
participation in those projects or activities. Technology can be a tool for teachers as well as for
students. To help teachers new to technology gain experience in using it, and to help tech savvy
teachers incorporate technology more fully into their daily routines. Some of the things that
Technology in education can be used for things such as challenging students with online math
problems, help the students with research on their book reports. Another way technology can be
used in the classroom is help students with their creativity, for example having them do an art
project on an software instead of doing it on normal paper. Also have the students create a model
of an Russ Bridge or draw out their dream room. Teachers can easily use technology to help
them in the classroom, by finding online worksheets based on what subject they are teaching the
students. Sometimes teachers are worn out from trying to come up with new and creative
seatwork assignments day after day after day. Technology can be used to improve teaching and
learning and help our students be successful. Instead of the teacher being the only source
of help in a classroom, students can access web sites, online tutorials, and more to assist them.
After doing my through research of the technology standards at the local school District, State of
Nevada, and National level. I expanded my understanding of the CCSD Technology Education
Common Core Standards. At first, I saw a lot of comparisons between the standards of
technology of CCSD. One of the comparisons was each document described the components of
the standards section. They talked about how the student were expected or what was the goal of
them using the using technology in the classroom for education reasons. Each standard also gave
a rubric on how the student was expected to reach the standards on what is involved in each part
of the standard.
Even though, there was compariosns to the documents about the standards. There are also
ways to contrast them as well. For, the Computer and Technology Education standards was quite
different. The reason why it was different was because it talked about how the student were
expected or what was the goal of them using the using technology but also breaking it down by
grade level, and talked about exceeding, meeting, approaching and being below the standard.
The second document which was Nevada Computer and Technology standards and it was
different from the others by giving different how the student would be leveled or graded on
operations. For the last document, which was the seven ISTE standards for students which tells

Procedures:
Subtraction
Exponents - he exponent of a number says how many times to use that number in
a multiplication. Written as a small number to the right and above the base
number. Example 82 = 8 8 = 64
Division - split into equal parts or groups. It is "fair sharing". Example: there are
12 chocolates, and 3 friends want to share them, how do they divide the
chocolates?
Subtraction - Taking one number away from another number. Example 6-2=4
