    Trading in India's corporate debt market has increased substantially over the past decade according to data from the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE). The number of trades and total traded value has risen each year from 2010-2011 to 2015-2016. Similarly, foreign investment in India through American Depository Receipts/Global Depository Receipts (ADRs/GDRs) and External Commercial Borrowings (ECBs) has also fluctuated over the years, with the highest ADRs/GDRs amount recorded in 2010-2011 and ECBs peaking in 2011-2012 and 2013-2014.
