VIII. Reflection

This lesson gives students the freedom to discover themes in literature that

relate to their own culture, allowing a deeper understanding of their own

culture, while sharing that understanding with classmates. Students being

given the opportunity to examine and research literature that relates to culture

allows them to improve their own ability to analyze and explain world

literature. The biggest strength is student investigation and growth, while the

largest setback is the amount of freedom being given to the students may

cause them to take shortcuts.
