GMO

CORN
THE NEW WAY TO IMPROVE YOUR FUND
ON AGRICULTURE
WHAT IS GMO?
GMO or Genetic modified organism is the
process that scientists genetically modifying
the organism genes in specific way they
wanted them to be. Changes in genes can
affect the organism based on the genes they
were modified.

GMO was commonly used for agricultural

purposes. It was found in both livestocks and
cropping plants.

BENEFITS OF GMO

Provides you the products you wished

Increases production rate of your product
Prevents natural pests of your product
Ensure your incomes and benefits on food
marketing

*** Please note, GMO plants and animals are

genetically modified. You can choose the
specialty of your product in the way you
believed would suit your business and your
well-being.
GMO CORNS.....
Corns are a common agricultural crops that
farmers grow globally.
Corns are usually used for manufactured
products, animals feeding, and many more
they can utilize.
Since corns are fast-growing plants, this make
them a top-pick choice for the majority of the
farmers

SAMPLE STUDY CASES

Bt-inhibited corn; These corns is genetically modified

to have Bacillus thuringiensis which produces a
natural insecticide called Bt toxin. It is best to control
pest caterpillars and beetle larva. This is because
specific pH levels, enzymes, and midgut receptors are
required to activate and bind a given Cry toxin to
midgut cells, which leads to pore formation in the
insect's intestine and death (Federici 2002). A "lock and
key" analogy is useful to explain this specificity. If the
midgut receptor is considered the "lock" and the Cry
protein is the "key" then insect death only occurs when
the "lock and key" match.
