About ERDA
ERDA is a 40 year old premier professional organization accredited by NABL, BIS,
Government of India and approved by Intertek (ASTA). It is partnering utilities,
manufacturing industries and other organizations in performance testing and evaluation of
more than 100 electrical products as per BIS, IEC, UL, ASTM & TUV-PS, CSA Standards.
The laboratory complex has fully established and integrated facilities for providing
services in areas of Certification Testing, Calibration, Research & Development, Residual
Life Assessment (RLA), Condition Monitoring, Energy Audits & Management, Third Party
Inspection (TPI) and Power Systems. It also undertakes diagnostic and field tests on
products through its Mobile Test Laboratory.
About ISGF
India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF) is a public private partnership initiative of Ministry of Power
(MoP), Government of India for accelerated development of smart grid technologies in the
Indian power sector. Mandate of ISGF is to ad vise government on policies and programs for
promotion of Smart Grids in India, work with national and international agencies in
standards development and to help utilities, regulators and the Industry in technology
selection, capacity building and outreach programs. ISGF has over 100 Members covering
ministries, government institutions, regulators, utilities and private companies from the
industry, non-profit organisations, educational and research entities and students from
renowned institutions. ISGF has constituted 10 working groups examining different aspects
of Smart Grid. The members of ISGF participate in focused working groups to develop
required use cases, standards, technology recommendations and guidelines. ISGF has been
actively providing advisory services to MoP on matters related to smart grids in India and
conducting monthly technology workshops.
