1 Aim
The intersection of high-pressure water and / or flammable gasses from fishers
and faults can be extremely dangerous in the underground environment. Cover
drilling is performed ahead of mining to detect the presence or high pressure
water and flammable gasses which could potentially result in injury, fatalities and
property damage.
The aim of this procedure is to ensure that all Cover Hole Drilling is;
i) Timeously communicated to all respective parties;
ii) Performed in accordance to the Water Plan, and
iii) Performed whist adhering to all Anglo Platinum Safety Standards.

2 Scope

indicated position;
ii) An instruction to Mining to prepare a
site for Cover Hole Drilling, and
