Part A.

- Generating Ideas Individual Work (LO2, Part A)

You are required to generate some initial ideas for an advertisement campaign. This
can be done as a word document or mind map. Anything you come up with, no matter
how unrealistic get it on paper. You need at least three ideas as a starting point.
You are required to choose existing products.
For each idea:
- Product & campaign message
- Basic idea for TV advert
- Cast you will require
- Location(s) you would require
- Form & Style of the advert (realist, anti-realist, narrative, animation,
documentary, talking heads)
- Persuasive techniques you will use
- Touchpoint(s) of the advert / Timing of release
Some suggested advertisement genres are as follows:
- Confectionery (chocolate bar, sweets etc)
- Insurance / Professional Service Advert (financial, legal etc)
- Public Service (health / safety advice)

My ideas:

1. Product & campaign message - British Red Cross - (easy to learn, easy to
remember) The British Red Cross wants you to feel confident and willing to
give first aid. Everyday First Aid makes it easy to learn the skills you'll need
to help in an emergency.

Message (to express how useful and easy it is for everyday first aid to
be handy for anyone)

Choking, Heart attack, Bleeding heavily etc . . .

More examples : Stroke, Broken bone, Head injury, Unresponsive and

breathing/ not breathing, Seizures/epilepsy, Diabetes, Asthma attack,
Poisoning, Distress, Hypothermia, Meningitis, Allergies/ anaphylaxis, Burns
- Basic idea for TV advert - to express how useful and easy it is for
everyday first aid to be handy for anyone by giving an example of a
needed first aid situation during halloween.
- Cast you will require - three to five people maximum (preferably drama
students)
- Location(s) you would require - anywhere like a public area (street, bus
stop,town area, etc)
- Form & Style of the advert (realist, anti-realist, narrative, animation,
documentary, talking heads) - realist
- Persuasive techniques you will use - after the accident has happened and
there has already been a negative effect, there will be shown what
could have happened if first aid was used and how to be aware
- Touchpoint(s) of the advert / Timing of release - What can happen during
halloween time for kids, e.g poisoning, choking, broken bone
2. Product & campaign message - Kiwis for kiwi is a national charity that
supports community-led and Mori-led kiwi conservation projects. Our
vision is to take kiwi from endangered to everywhere.

efforts/northland/nz-kiwi-foundation/

- Touchpoint(s) of the advert / Timing of release - Nearing christmas

3. Product & campaign message - Subway - uses slogan and logo,

advertising how good the food is and the way people who eat it, feel when
they eat
- Basic idea for TV advert - Someone emerges from Subway and starts to
eat the food and expresses how good it is in a humorous way by
over-reacting.
- Cast you will require - 1 - 2 people
- Location(s) you would require - anywhere near a subway in grimsby
- Form & Style of the advert (realist, anti-realist, narrative, animation,
documentary, talking heads) - anti-realist

from eating the food
