Points to remember
King is more powerful than Soldiers
Soldiers are more powerful than Public
Whenever there is a conflict between two Kings, then there will be no
conclusion
When there is a conflict between two soldiers, then there will be no
conclusion
Public means =
Case 1. 'King vs King'
Whenever the soldiers face each other means again war(same apply
here). In other words conclusion will be wrong.
Note: Two signs opposite to each other will make the conclusion wrong But
again if the signs are same then it will be true.
like this
If A B C then A C = False , C A = False .
But
If A B C then A C = True , C A = True .
Example
Statement: B D A F C
Conclusions :
I. A C False
II. B F False
III. D C False
Case 4.
When it occurs to you that the statement of order is opposite just
change the sign into similar opposite direction
Statements : K L M = N ; P O N
Conclusions:
K LM=NOP
III. K M True
IV K < P False
V K=P False
Statement IV & V Apply Either Or
Case 5. Protocols
There are some rules in battle field which is that king only fights with
king andsoldier only fights with soldier.
So Whenever you find two conclusions which are false Just check for these two
symbols. In Most of case where two conclusions are false and these two
similar signs are not there respectively then that statement you can call it
as Either Or but should check there variable it should same.
#Case Either Or :
Note : First thing you need to check whether in your conclusion any 2 or more
conclusions are wrong
then if it is there then check whether the two variables are same If It happens
then write it as 'Either or' but after checking their symbols.
Rules:
1. Both conclusion should False
2. Should have Same Predicate or Variable
3. Check the symbols
If 3 Condition is satisfied then write it as " Either Or' Other wise leave it.
Solved Questions :
#Case Neither Nor :
There are some rules in battle field which is that king only fights with
king andsoldier only fights with soldier.
So Whenever you find two conclusions which are false Just check for these two
symbols. In Most of case where two conclusions are false and these two signs
arenot there respectively then that statement you can call it as Neither Nor.
Note : First thing you need to check whether in your conclusion any 2 or more
conclusions are wrong
then write it as 'Neither Nor' but before checking their symbols.
Rules:
1. Both conclusion should False
2. Check the symbols
If Both Conditions are satisfied then write it as " Neither Nor' Other wise leave it.
How to solve 'Either Or' & 'Neither Nor' Question
MY 5 RULES TO AGTC (ALWAYS GET THEM
CORRECT):
1: See the signs of change
For ANY given equation, look at what the question asked is and then jot down the signs (<,>, , ) in the
sequence it is appearing and leave out the = sign.
For example :
Is H>U correct? Answer is NO, well come to it later, but first we learn the signs.
So, we need to go from H ---- to U. The signs to be written down will be [ > < ]
The last sign is > but since we are going from H to U, which mean we will go from T to V to U, we will
change the direction instead of going from left to right like we were initially doing.
We now go from right to left for the last two equations and since we change direction, we will change
the signs too as the relation is now from the point of view of the element in right!
Thus, ignore the =, jot down the others, and change the signs as per direction in which the equation is
needed to go.
T>U, VU, V>S, S=K, H<K , what is the relation between T and K?
> ],
signs will be [ > >
in this, > comes maximum number of times, hence T>K is the
correct relation, anything else is wrong.
Im sure you would say , as it comes three times ans > come only once.
However if you see, means greater than or equal to which mean it is a
combination of two signs, > and =!
Thus in any equation where there are many or if there is even one >
or <, the answer will be > or < respectively.
the signs - > . As you can see the last two signs are opposites to each
other which means any direct relation like >, <, , , or = will be incorrect.
Thus if in options any of these signs are given answer will be wrong.
Please Note: This is important. Where you get opposite signs in any
combination, [< >, > <, , , <, >], you have to check for 2
conditions:
(1) if the characters in both the options are same
(2) all the three signs, =, <, > are to be present in any combination
if these 2 cumulatively follow then answer is either/or. If these
dont follow then answer is none follow or wrong, depending on how the
question is given.
thus,
A>B, BC, CD is given and your to questions are:
(a) A D (b) A > D
5: Something new?
If any new character is given in the option, which is not given in the question
any relation will be wrong!
A>B, B>C, C>D. but if you are asked is C>G then it is a big WRONG!
People these are the basic rules of solving inequalities I myself solve question
by these rules and never get any wrong but the important thing is to practice
so that you can remember these rules easily without requiring to mug them up.
