FOREWORD
ABOUT G.O.L.D. PRODUCT DOCUMENTATION

Types of manuals

There are three types of manuals related to G.O.L.D. products:

user manuals provide functional explanations and explain how to use G.O.L.D. screens
administration manuals are for the use of administrators and project managers in charge
of the installation and the maintenance
installation manuals provide all information necessary for the installation of the products

Typographic convention

In order to make Aldata manuals easier to follow, the following typographic convention has been
adopted:

Convention Use

Bold screen, programme, field

[Bold in square brackets] button

"In quotation marks" panel, tab

CAPITAL AND BOLD table

Courrier font code

Functions

This manual does not describe the use of:

lists of values to help field input
calendars to help date input
search panels
contextual menus etc
This manual explains how to create records. To consult, modify or delete records, the proce-
dure is generally identical in all screens which is why it is not described here either.
For information on these functions common to all the screens, please consult the manual Intro-
duction to G.O.L.D., Ref. GB-ALL-UTI-INTRO-001. It also contains important information on
how to navigate in G.O.L.D., carry out a search in the drop-down lists and table columns, per-
sonalise the colours of G.O.L.D. etc.

GENERAL CONCEPTS

Deliverable assortments: definition

Deliverable assortments (also called "warehouse assortments") allow you to define the articles
which can be delivered to shops by warehouses. First, you select the warehouse for which you
want to define the deliverable articles. Then, you specify:
the deliverable sites (distribution network level),
the delivery period, and
the deliverable articles.

Useful information concerning deliverable assortments

You will find all useful information related to assortments in the Saleable Assortments manual,
Ref. GB-CEN-UTI-AVEN-096: access rights, prerequisites, presentation diagrams of the global
assortment creation process, minimum duration of assortment creation etc.

General parameter tables linked to deliverable

assortments

The table below lists the general parameter tables linked to deliverable assortments. For each
table, we specify whether it is a user table or a system table: the addition, modification and
deletion of entries can only be carried out in the user tables. These tables can only be modified
by users with the appropriate menu profile (see the G.O.L.D. Central Administration manual,
Ref. GB-UTI-GOADM-016).

Table Name Table type

20 Delivery mode System table

The table 812 is used for the generation of
deliverable assortments based on (shop or
warehouse) orderable assortments. For
further information, see the "Orderable
Assortments" manual, Ref. GB-CEN-508-

NETWORK

This procedure allows you to define which articles a warehouse is authorised to deliver
depending on shops (i.e. its delivery network). By default, G.O.L.D. offers to generate the
orderable assortment of the shops of the selected delivery network; but this option can be
disabled in the screen.
IMPORTANT If you wish to generate orderable assortments from deliverable assortments,
prerequisites must be respected otherwise the generation cannot be performed. For more
information about these prerequisites, see the Orderable Assortments manual, Ref. GB-CEN-
UTI-ACOM-094.

1. Go to the Warehouse selection screen (access path in the standard version of G.O.L.D. :
Assortments > Deliverable assortiments > Warehouse assortment generation).
2. Use the search panel and then the [Search] button to search for the warehouse whose
assortment is to be defined.
-> G.O.L.D. lists the warehouses corresponding to your search criteria.
3. Double-click on the appropriate warehouse in the list.
-> The Assortment selection screen is displayed. This screen allows you to search for
articles which can already be delivered by the warehouse.
4. Click on the [+] button on the toolbar to create a new deliverable assortment.
-> The Assortment generation screen is displayed.
