Attended the KDP Educators Conference (2017)
Volunteered on the Gus Bus Reading Road Show (2015-2016)
Attend yearly mission trips with First United Methodist Church of Pulaski youth group (2013-

Completed a semester practicum in a Kindergarten Classroom at Plains Elementary School in
Timberville, VA (20017)

Extracurriculars
JMU Rotaract - Organize and participate in a variety of service learning projects including; Relay
for Life, the Big Event, Arc events, SPCA volunteering, and global outreach.
Big Brothers Big Sisters - Dedicate time to meeting weekly with a child in the local community to
serve as a mentor and positive influence in her life.
National Science Teacher Association - Organize, present and volunteer at events that focus on
STEM education. Attend presentations and demonstrations to further our knowledge in science
fields.
ROTE-Raising an Organization of Trained Educators at JMU places students in a local classroom for
reserved time each week and completes a course taught by local administration that discusses
current topics in education.
JMU KDP-National organization that is committed to community involvement and professional
development for future educators.
