LAKE FRED

Dark Path
Lake Fred, originally
named Saw Mill Pond, was
at first a white cedar bog
with a stream running
through it, which was then
converted into a cranberry
bog with the construction
of the dam. In addition
to the numerous plant
species that thrive
around the lake
and its tributaries,
many fish, reptiles,
amphibians, and even
birds are dependent on
the lake for survival.
