AASARA PENSION SCHEME

Telangana Brahmin Samkshema Parishad (TBSP), a registered society under the


Telangana Societies Registration Act, 2001, is keenly interested in the social,
educational and economic development and welfare of Brahmin Community in
the Telangana State.

Schemes implemented as social security nets are meant for protecting the needy
and vulnerable by providing a means to live a life of dignity and alleviating
immediate distress. Telangana Brahmin community too requires such an
assistance to combat the ever-increasing cost of living and inflation.

Telangana Brahmin Samkshema Parishad proposes Aasara Pension Scheme for


the benefit of old and infirm, persons with disabilities and widows/ single woman
belonging to Telangana Brahmin community.

Guidelines for the scheme:

Monthly Financial Assistance under this Scheme will be sanctioned to the needy
and vulnerable Brahmin community families belonging to any of the 31
districts in Telangana subject to the following guidelines:

- For Old Age Pensions: The applicant should be 60 years of age or above.
- Widow: 18 Years or above.
- For Single Woman: Married women above the age of 18 years who have
been separated from her husband or whose husband has deserted her and
the separation period shall be more than one (1) year and unmarried
women who are above 30 years of age in rural areas and above 35 years
of age in urban areas.
- For the disabled: Irrespective of age.
- Members of Brahmin families whose combined income from all sources is
between Rs.2.00 lakhs and Rs. 4.00 lakhs per annum are eligible.
- In all cases the Income Certificate must be obtained through MEE SEVA.
Financial Assistance:

- The quantum of monthly financial assistance needy and vulnerable


Brahmin families under Aasara Pension Scheme would be as follows:

Procedure for Selection:

(i) Eligible candidates shall fill their applications online


(www.brahminparishad.telangana.gov.in) in the prescribed format
(ii) The applicant shall submit the following documents:

o Residential/ Nativity Certificate;


o Caste Certificate from Mee Seva;
o Income Certificate from Mee Seva;
o Date of Birth Certificate;
o Aadhaar Card;
o Death certificate in case of widows
o SADAREM Certificate in case of persons with disabilities
o Copy of Bank Pass Book of Nationalised Bank;
o Photo to be scanned and uploaded;

Selection:

The selection shall be conducted by the Executive Committee at the State level.

The Chairman is authorised to make exceptions in the eligibility/ selection


process depending upon the merit of the case and his decision will be final.
