A rectangular lmlna ABCD of sides 70mm X 35mm has its shorter side AD in HP and
inclined at 45degree to the HP and the plane of the laniina is inclined at 30 to the VP.
Draw its projections.

1. From the given statements we observe that the lamina is inclined to both vertical plane
(VP) and HP.
2. In the first stage we assume the rectangle to be lying on ground with its shorter side
perpendicular to XY.
3. In the second stage the plane in tilted about the side ad so that the surface is inclined at
45degree to the ground in the elevation. Top view is projected from the front view by
drawing projectors from d c to meet projector from bc of the top view. These lines meet
at points a1, b1, c1, d1. Join a1, b1, C1 & d1 to get the new top view.
4. Tilt the top view so that the side a1d1 is 306 to XY, thereby this becomes the final top
view.
5. Draw projectors from a1, b1, c1 & d1 and horizontal lines from d c to meet at a1 b1
ci, d1. Join these pointsto get the final front view.
6. Since the side ad is Fri HP we get line a1 d1touching the XY line.
