How can we build
a vehicle to travel
a distance of 5 Our Driving
meters while Question

carrying .25 kg?

The Process
Two small and thin pieces of
wood 9 cm long

Two small and thin pieces of

wood 6 cm width
Materials 2 standard tires 10 cm in
A list of all of our parts diameter

109 cm long string

2 rolls of pennies
How it Works
1. The car is released from any height
above or exactly 35 cm on a ramp

2. The car rolls down the ramp with the

moving wheels and the container
holding the passengers rolls with it

3. With the wheels moving, it allows the

car to successfully transport
passengers to exactly 5 meters or
beyond

How Did We Use Friction?
Our goal of using friction was to increase friction grip the ground. Other than that
we left the slowing down to weight displacement.

Wheels

We got wheels with rubber wheel treads so they will grip the ground. To grip the
ground we needed friction on a molecular scale to occur to let the wheels spin the
body. We also needed a ramp to accelerate our car.

Weight Displacement

We used uneven weights to slow the body as it is rolling. It rotates unevenly which
kills any momentum
