Born in Astoria, New York, John obtained a B.A. with Honors, from New York University in 1991, and a
J.D. with Honors, JP Munn Scholar, from St. John's University School of Law in 1994. He is an
appointed New York State Court System Certified Arbitrator/Mediator. Previously, he served as an
Attorney with Alexander and Ashe, PC from 1994 through 1995, Florie Wertheimmer, PC from 1995
through 1996 and Kreitzer & Vogelman from 1996 through 2000; all located in New York.

Mr. Ciafone is licensed to practice law in New York State since 1995 and is admitted to the New York
State Supreme Court. He is the Executive Director of the Aldos Democratic Club, an Attorney with the
Big Apple Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police, a member of the East River Kiwanis and the Knights of
Columbus. He served on Community School Board 30 from 1997 to 2004 and as President and Treasurer
for Judicial Delegate.
