Dear Maam,

I am writing this letter to express my interest in the Siemens Graduate Program at Siemens Limited. I believe
that my engineering background and business education equips me with the knowledge required to address key
challenges from an analytical as well as business perspective. These skills would enable me to contribute
effectively to Siemens.

My prior experiences in leading process improvements at ITCs largest packaging plant have made me grow in
an entrepreneurial and client centric environment. Working closely with clients spread across multiple
geographies, understanding their needs and implementing process improvements catering to these needs not
only strengthened the client partnerships but also honed my relationship building skills. Such experiences gave
me a deep understanding of different working styles and taught me invaluable lessons in adapting quickly to a
culturally diverse clientele.

In just a short span of time, my efforts in streamlining operations, increasing employee motivation level and
improving product quality resulted in the division achieving the highest quality rating by its largest global client. In
addition, I demonstrated my analytical and problem solving skills by conceptualizing and executing multiple
projects and convinced the senior management to adopt new methods of improving the manufacturing
processes. These experiences of driving quality consciousness, questioning the status quo and institutionalizing
the lean six sigma methodology in the plant taught me how to build team camaraderie and manage people
effectively.

Apart from my professional responsibilities, I have actively pursued other activities as well. During college (IIT
Kharagpur), I actively participated and excelled in numerous extracurricular activities, held several positions of
responsibilities, won multiple medals in competitions and pursued a summer exchange program at Virginia
Commonwealth University, USA. Engaging in these activities allowed me to meet new people and thus
broadened my knowledge. In spite of my involvement in these activities, I have always maintained the pursuit for
academic excellence and maintained top 5% ranks at IIT and at ISB.

I believe that my self-driven nature, engineering knowledge and management skills make me a good fit for
Siemens world class business. The Siemens Graduate Program serves as the ideal opportunity to delve deeper
into various functions and further develop my leadership skills. Working on diverse assignments, both domestic
and international, would enhance my knowledge base and make me grow within the organization.

Moreover, interacting with ISB alumni at Siemens further strengthened my belief that Siemens culturally diverse
teams, challenging work and focused mentorship programs will not only help me realize my career goals but
also help me grow as an individual. I am excited with the prospects of working in such a dynamic environment
and I look forward to interviewing with you.
