Opening: Engage and teaching
Time: 15- minutes
I will tell the students a story thats related to the skip counting to warm them up,
and I will be skip counting by 10s and I will ask them HOTS questions such as
how did I counted the money? why did I counted using this strategy?.

Practice Activities
Time: 20 minutes

Activity 1 (MA) Activity 2 ( LA)

I will give the students a work sheet for each
group and each group will have different
numbers where they will skip count using the
hundreds table, and while they skip count they
will color the numbers according to the number
given in their work sheet. For example: the
students will skip count by 5 so they will color
5, 10, 15 etc.
I will give each group an ice cream cone
and ice cream scoop with numbers on them
and I will ask the students to skip count to
2,5 or 10. Each group will have different
numbers and they have to skip count. And
will glue the ice cream scoop while they
skip count. The students will have the
multiplication table as a helper for them if
they faced any difficulties in doing it.

Activity 3 (LA.MA.HA)

Each group will have a puzzle and each group

will have different numbers and different
pictures so the students should organize the
puzzles by skip counting to get the right
organization of the picture and will glue it on a
plain paper.
Closing/ Conclusion
Time: 10mintess

I will ask the students about what they learned in this lesson.
Asking the students some HOTS questions and will give them some questions
to solve it on the board.

General Comments
This lesson was my first lesson in my TP, so I have many things to recommend on
them and what should I develop for my next steps in teaching.
Comments
The hands on activity were
good although my MST
noted me that the puzzles
should be bigger for the
students so they can stick it
faster.
And the cooperative was
good in a way that the
student were working
cooperatively and every
student was working on
something during the
activity.
The pausing strategy was
useful for the bad behavior
to manage them during the
lesson.
The countdown strategy
helped me in making the
transition between the
activities easier and
flexible.
Asking questions helped me
to check on the students
understanding.
Recommendations / future personal targets / areas of focus

The first thing I will be recommending on is the activities, all the activities in this
lesson need more creativity and objects where the students will be touching and
sensing the objects instead of only solving the questions in the book or on a worksheet,
because the students in younger age have to learn by using objects and having hands
on activities. And for my personal targets I will be focusing on my voice and my
classroom management strategies to control the behavior in the classroom.
