1 I n t h i s ve r s i o n

This release contains support for new and updated file formats. There are updates
for most technologies that Actix supports, with changes falling under the following
categories:

New collection device support

Decode improvements

New attributes / modifications to existing attributes

New mobile device support in existing formats

Improvements to existing decodes

Improvements to event detection

Format Group issues (for example, binning)

Stability improvements

Event detection and Application layer improvements

Analyzer / Spotlight improvements

Added support for Agilent NiXT 14.0. Added support for Agilent LTE scanners in
Message Browser. In this release, no attributes are set. Added support for
WiMax scanners.

Added support for TEMS Investigation 9.1.

Added support for Nokia N96 for TEMS investigation.

Added support for Samsung Z500 handset for DingLi format.

Added support for the following Invex3G devices:

2.1 Agilent AOD support

Added support for Agilent NiXT 14.0.

Added support for Agilent LTE scanners in Message Browser. In this release, no
attributes are set. Added support for WiMax scanners.

[Case 43896] In GSM, an improvement was made so that Analyzer populates

Rx Lev attributes from an Agilent Signal message if GSM RR Measurement
Report messages are not logged.

2.2 Anritsu support

A problem has been resolved that prevented the preference Tools >
Preferences > General Settings > Time Offsets > Mobile time offset from GMT
(hours) to be applied for side files. Before the fix, the time offset was applied
to the main measurement file, but not to the side files (an example of side files
are the .BCH files that contain UMTS System Information Block messages).
Since the messages decoded from the side files are inserted based on time, the
consequence of the problem was that the side files messages were not inserted
correctly with the main measurement file.

2.3 Ascom / Comarco Symphony support

[Case 43480] A problem with decoding message IP Throughput Results in

Message Browser has been resolved. Furthermore, we now set
IP_Throughput_DL and IP_Throughput_UL at that message.
The attributes AscomHTTP_URL and Task_Server_URL are now set correctly
at Ascom message Start Marker HTTP 2.

2.4 Comarco support

[Case 42704] A problem has been resolved which caused attribute Distance to
be calculated wrongly when the preference Tools > Preferences > General
Settings > GPS Interpolation was selected.

Improved the formatting in the Message Browser of message UE Phone

Status/State.

[Case 42061] Log File Checker utility has been improved so that it now flags
correctly log files for which side files are missing.

2.5 Couei support

[Case 43874] Added support for CDMA scanner up to version 3.2.x.

2.6 DingLi support

Added support for Samsung Z500 handset.

2.7 Invex3G support

[Case 43935] Added support for the following devices:

LG VX8350
Sanyo PRO700/200
Samsung T639
Added support for the Channel Range Peak RSSIs scanner message, for GSM
and CDMA technologies.

[Case 44064] Added support for the RSSI Scanning message, used by IR
scanners when they are configured for spectrum analysis.

2.8 Huawei Probe support

[Case 42270] Resolved a problem that caused GPS coordinates to be partly

wrong in Analyzer. The root cause of the issue was an inconsistency in the
encoding of messages GPS GARMIN and GPS DTI in the log files.

[Case 44554] Added support for Huawei Probe-specific CDMA events in a new
attribute called Huawei_CDMA_Event_ID.

2.9 Nemo support

Added support for additional Nemo file format 2.0 messages for CDMA and
EVDO technologies: PCHI, CELLMEAS, PHFER, DRCI, RDRC, FDRC,
CONNECTIONC, CONNECTIOND, SESSIONC, SNPSM and FCHPACKETS.
Added support for the following messages: OFDMSCAN, PAUSE, ROAM, DCHR,
QSPR, QSPN, RLCBLER, RLCRATE, VQDL, MSGA, MSGS, MSGF, RTPJITTER,
LOCK, MACSM.

[Case 44335] In GSM technology, Analyzer now sets Rx Lev and Rx Qual
attributes at a Nemo CELLMEAS message when the GSM RR Measurement
report messages are not logged.

[Case 44330] Resolved a problem that caused GSM RR messages not to be

decoded after a UMTS to GSM handover.

2.10 PCTEL support

[Case 43973] Resolved a problem that caused some recent PCTEL iDEN scanner
log files (InSite 4.1.0.7) to fail to load in Analyzer.

[Case 44476] Added support for iDEN scanner messages RSSI CW Data Line
and RSSI Wide Data Line.

2.11 Qualcomm support

[Case 43831] In UMTS, Analyzer now sets scanner attributes when a

Qualcomm handset is used as a scanner.

[Case 44548] Resolved a UMTS problem that could cause attributes

Uu_ActiveSet_RSCP, Uu_ActiveSet_EcN0, Uu_ActiveSet_SC and
Uu_Finger_RSCP, Uu_Finger_EcN0 not to be sorted by CPICH EcN0 strength
correctly when they were calculated from more than 9 fingers.

[Case 44427] Improved support of .ISF log files, so that additional GPS
measurements messages are now decoded.

[Case 42642] Improved support of Qualcomm message Cell Reselection

Packet, at which UMTS inter frequency measurement attributes are now set.
The UMTS inter frequency measurement attributes are now located under the
node UMTS > Downlink Measurements > Interfrequency in the Attribute
Explorer.

Support for HSPA+ Qualcomm message 0x4222 HS Decode Status with Data
Ver3 has been improved.

2.12 Rohde and Schwarz support

[Case 44493] Added support for ROMES 4.11.

[Case 44397] Resolved a problem that caused Nokia N95 handset streams not
to load when the device name was Nokia Nokia N95 in the log file, where the
expected device name was Nokia N95. The device detection has been made
more robust so that it now recognizes Nokia Nokia N95 device as a Nokia N95
handset.

Added support for WiMax scanners.

2.13 Swissqual Diversity / Qualipoc support

[Case 43963] Resolved a licensing problem so that users can now load GSM and
EGPRS Swissqual log files with a GSM or EGPRS license, respectively.

[Case 43795] Added support for Swissqual Walk Position message as a source
for GPS measurements.

2.14 TEMS Investigation support

Added support for TEMS Investigation 9.1.

[Case 42970], [Case 42970] Added support for Nokia N96 for TEMS
investigation.

[Case 43962] The GSM attribute ServRxLevEither is now set for Ericsson
handsets.

[Case 44080] Resolved a problem with the calculation of the attribute

Uu_HSDPA_CQI_Average for Ericsson handsets.

[Case 43810] Added support for HSDPA technology for Motorola RAZR V6
handsets. NOTE: all the HSDPA attributes are set except for
Uu_HSDPA_Throughput_MAC, which will be supported in a future release.

[Case 43871] Improved the support for Sony Ericsson Z750i when used as a
GSM scanner. Analyzer now sets ScanBSIC, ScanSortBSIC_by_SigLevel and
ScanSortBSIC_by_ChannelNo.

2.15 Generic

In UMTS, more attributes are now set for RRC Release 7 IEs.

[Case 43820] In UMTS, improvements were made in order to support

Additional Measurements in RRC messages Measurement Control and
Measurement Report. The RRC attributes set from the Additional
Measurements node have a suffix Uu_RRC_additionalMeasuredResults.

In UMTS, the binning operation of attribute Uu_Scan_UARFCN has been

changed from ModeHold to Mode.

i m p r o ve m e n t s

[Case 43649] The same attribute from different frequency specific scanner sub-
streams can now be displayed on the same map. This is particularly useful for
comparing the coverage on different frequencies. NOTE: frequency-specific
scanner sub-streams are created when you select the preference Tools >
Preferences > General Settings > Auto Create scanner Frequency
Streams.

[Case 43648] Added support for TEMS specific call events KPIs in Spotlight. To
enable the new KPIs, you need to create new Spotlight templates (for instance
based on GSM UMTS Voice template, and add the new TEMS specific KPIs):

[Case 43998] The percentage corresponding to the contribution of one value to

the total number of times an attribute is set has been added to the map legend:

A new feature has been added to the Table object. When you select the check
box Hide empty rows, only the rows of the Table at which the attributes
displayed are set are displayed. This feature provides a quick and easy to use
way to navigate through a log file, as can be seen in the screenshot below:

4 Known Issues / Obsolescence

When installing the April 20009 Analyzer Update on Vista, the user may see a
number of error warnings for different DLLs located in Analyzers
Bin\TrrWrapper directory. Ignore all these warnings they have no effect on
Analyzers behavior.

The problem occurs when the installer tries to register the DLLs but some DLLs
are not present in the system folder. These missing DLLs are installed by
Analyzer anyway but in the Windows\WinSxS folder (side-by-side).
