Federalism
The significant difference between a divided governmental power such as Federalism and
an actual separated power just the difference in ranks. For example, Federalism is the division of
the United States Federal Government and the State Government which both originated from the
U.S. Constitution, whereas an individual separated power (originated from the Separation of
Powers Doctrine) is simply a concept that permits the division of functions in one level of
government.
Between Check and Balances and the Separation of Powers, both have different jobs in
the role of government. In a level of government, the Separation of Powers is organized in three
brancheslegislative, judicial, and executive which divides the functions of the government.
