Hi, my name is Taylor Crace and for some reason I always stress about
everything, even if its nothing. Creative writing is usually pretty easy for me, but
just the thought of writing essays has always been somewhat intimidating to me. I
think what mainly stresses me out about essays is the fact that it may not be good
type up the header and then stare blankly at the screen while trying to think of
how I am going to tackle the assignment. I try for entirely too long to come up with
a clever title even though I always end up doing it last and it is never as creative as
I wish that it were. In my head I put myself down and tell myself that I cannot do
it and that I should just give up, which does not do me any good whatsoever.

because I was diagnosed with ADHD at a young age. In my case I get distracted
very easily and it is hard to sit still and work on one thing for long periods of time.
My thoughts are all over the place, but especially when writing multiple pages on
one thing. I never know whether to drag out what I am saying in order to make the
essay longer or make my point and just be short, sweet, and to the point.
So when it is time for the introduction after fighting with myself over how I
am going to tackle writing this, I try to gather all of my thoughts in order to get
started. The introduction is probably something that I struggle the most with. I
can never seem to think of a good hook that I am proud of and that stands out.
When writing an intro, coming up with a hook takes me the most time, and if I
cannot seem to come up with one then I just skip it and move onto the body
paragraphs.
Body paragraphs are usually the easiest for me and I can just fly right
through them, but sometimes that gets me in trouble. If I just completely fly right
through them then I do not thoroughly think everything through. When writing, I
try to find the happy medium in the body, where I can write at just the right
speed and not too fast. Although I do lose my train of thought quite often which

In conclusion, I have a very loose and unorganized writing style that needs a
lot of work. The way I write will probably end up biting me in the butt in the long
run so I took this class as a way to kind of help myself out. My sucky writing has
not caused me any major problems in school up to this point, but I know that I will
