Lyrical Breakdown: Make Me (Cry)
I never needed you like I do right now Cause all you ever do is make me
I never needed you like I do right now Couldn't hear the thunder, but I heard your heart race Yeah, hey, hey yeah, ooh

I never hated you like I do right now Couldn't see the rain, we're too busy makin' hurricanes Keep makin' me scream and holler

'Cause all you ever do is make me Love ain't easy when it ain't my way Keep on makin' me cry

Gave you up 'bout twenty one times But it gets hard, when you ain't here makin' me crazy You don't know what you do to me

Felt those lips tell me twenty one lies Baby, say the word, darlin' Hey, hey, yeah

You'll be the death of me You know just how to hold the sucker down I never needed you like I do right now

Sage advice So I'll see you in the morning I never needed you like I do right now

Love, lovin' you could make Jesus cry I can't watch you walk out I never hated you like I do right now

When I hear you sayin', "Darlin', your kiss is like an antidote" I never needed you like I do right now 'Cause all you ever do is make me

I'm fightin' like I'm Ali I never needed you like I do right now
But you got me on the ropes I never hated you like I do right now
I never needed you like I do right now 'Cause all you ever do is make me
I never hated you like I do right now Cry, cry, cry
'Cause all you ever do is make me Hear the thunder, see the rain
I never needed you like I do right now Ooh, ooh, yeah, ooh
I never hated you like I do right now Keep on makin' me cry
'Cause all you ever do is make me
Lyrical Breakdown: Make Me (Cry)
Summary: I never needed you like I do right now, never hated you like I do right now. All you do
is make me cry, gave you up about 21 times. You told me over 21 lies. You will be the death of
me, couldn't see the rain we were to busy making hurricanes. I cant watch you walk out. I
never needed you like i do right now.

Interpretation: This story is about two people in a toxic relationship. I believe this because they
mention lying to each other and fighting but still wanting/needing each other.

Theme: The theme of this song is that even if its hard you have to surround yourself with positive
people, I believe this because throughout the song she speaks of her struggle staying away but she
still does despite the challenge
