ORDERING INFORMATION
ROBOGUIDE V8 is FANUC Americas family of PRO PC software products. This PC software is available on
DVD (part number SFTROBOG8DVD) and by download from the FANUC America Customer Resource Center.
ROBOGUIDE products can be used for a fully functional 30-day trial period prior to license activation except
MotionPRO, DiagnosticsPRO and 4DEdit, which have no trial period and require immediate license activation.
After the trial period, all ROBOGUIDE products require license activation. The ROBOGUIDE V8 DVD contains
installation and support files for the following FANUC America PC products

OlpcPRO
MotionPRO-MH
PaintPRO
PaintPRO Express
PalletPRO
PickPRO
WeldPRO
Licenses for these PRO PC products are sold separately. A single license for each product activates that product
on one PC and licenses for more than one PRO PC product can be activated on the same PC. Licenses may be
transferred from one PC to another. Contact FANUC America to purchase these products.
NOTE: ROBOGUIDE V8 is a new product release. It is not a free upgrade from version V6.40 or V7.
View the readme.txt and Welcome.htm files in the installation software as well as the embedded Help
information in the installed software for the latest details about your ROBOGUIDE product.

OS Requirements: Administrator Privileges to install product and register full version of software.
Normal font size (96DPI).
Port 3002 should not be used for other purpose.
Computer name must be A-Z, a-z, 0-9 or '-'.
Internet Explorer 6. Internet Explorer 8 or later recommended.
Version of Internet Explorer and OS in which the vision setup operation test was done is
different in each robot software version.
Please refer to [Vision Simulation/Restrictions] section of ROBOGUIDE online manual for
detail.
Other: Virtual PC, VMware and similar software are not supported.
Windows XP Mode of Windows 7 is not supported.
Remote desktop is not supported.
Windows RT is not supported.
Comma decimal separator is not supported.
Screen should be 96DPI.
You cannot use Guest account for ROBOGUIDE.
*Touch panel operation on Windows 8 is not supported.
A prerequisite for the installation of ROBOGUIDE is the .NET 3.5 framework. The framework is considered to be a
Windows feature in Windows 8/10 versions, and therefore installed by the operating system.
When running the ROBOGUIDE installer on Windows 8/10 version*, the operating system will interrupt the
installer when the .NET 3.5 framework is being processed and prompt the user to obtain the files over the Internet,
or via the installation disk. If you have an Internet connection, select "Install this Feature" and proceed with the
installation. The ROBOGUIDE setup may need to be restarted after the installation of the .NET 3.5 framework. If
you do not have an Internet connection, select "Skip this Installation".
To install the .NET 3.5 framework with the Windows 8/10 disk, go to the Windows start screen and right click on
any open space, selecting "All apps" on the menu at the bottom of the screen. On the Apps screen find the
"Windows System" group and right click on "Command Prompt". Select "Run as administrator". In the command
prompt window, type in the following:

where "d" is the DVD drive that contains the Windows 8/10 disk
When the installation of the .NET 3.5 framework is complete, close the command prompt window and restart the
ROBOGUIDE setup to complete the ROBOGUIDE installation.
If the ROBOGUIDE installer fails immediately on Windows 8/10, please install the .NET 3.5 framework prior to
running the installer.

o The R-30iB Robot controller Teach Pendant has the ability to view a graphical 4D Virtual World.
ROBOGUIDE is the product used to create/add objects to the 4D Graphic Teach Pendant.
ROBOGUIDE 4D Edit and the ROBOGUIDE 4D Edit ProcessPRO plugin provides functions that
enable the generation of virtual world objects that can be displayed on the Graphic Teach
Pendant. Objects are added using a plugin function to the ROBOGUIDE simulation, or as a stand
alone ROBOGUIDE 4D Edit product. ROBOGUIDE Simulation products (xxxPRO) integrate the
4D Edit component into the ROBOGUIDE environment. The 4D Edit virtual world interface is
presented as a separate window when used in ROBOGUIDE process plugins (current
HandlingPRO and WeldPRO are supported). ROBOGUIDE 4D Edit presents the Graphical Teach
Pendant 4D Graphics as the primary virtual world environment. For more information see the 4D
Edit Help topics in the ROBOGUIDE Help system.

Release of new iRPickPRO process plugin. iRPickPRO uses the new iRPickTool robot controller software
for picking applications.
TP Program points shown for pedestal line tracking programs as reachable/unreachable at the conveyor's
current location. If the conveyor is located outside of the robot's reach, the TP Program's points may show
as all unreachable. When the conveyor is jogged into the robot's work envelope and stopped, the
reachability state of the program points will be automatically updated for the new location. TP Program
points that were previously unreachable at the conveyor's former location may now be shown as
reachable at the new location.

Each segment of a feature can define coordinated motion. If coordinated motion is unavailable, leader
robot will be stopped and follower robots will be moved on the segments.
Data type value and internal signals can be displayed on the I/O panel and can be transferred to other
devices on external device function. Supported data are below.
