PLEASE BE SAFE
A gun is a weapon used for power and
control in the world. Ever since guns
were introduced into the world they
have been used to kill. The second
Amendment of these United States says
that people have the right to bear arms.
That doesnt mean that people have the
right to use them whenever and
wherever they please. Citizens are using
guns all over the United States. In fact,
The United States has 88.8 guns per
100 people, or about 270,000,000 guns,
which is the highest total and per capita
number in the world. 22% of Americans
own one or more guns (35% of men and
12% of women) (ProCon.org). Some
could say that because the people own
guns crime decreases; thats not always
the case because based on statistics by
the US Department of Justice, roughly
5.9 million violent crimes were
committed in the US in 2014. The
problem is not the crime but the fact
that of those 5.9 million, Offenders
committed 10 percent while visibly
armed with a gun most of these being

is a correlation between guns and crime
(Gun Control). Unfortunately, guns
wont go away by a persons single
effort. People must be taught and
educated on the many dangers of these
