FIRE REACTION:
LOW SMOKE FUME OR LOW SMOKE LOW HALOGEN (LSF / LSLH) COMPOUND
The low halogen content and low corrosivity of low smoke fume cables lies somewhat in
between that of fire retardant cables and LSZH cables.
LSF/LSLH cables also contain halogen but the content is much less than that of PVC normal cables.
LSF/LSLH cables are designed to reduce the spread of fire, toxic gases and smoke during fire. The LSF cables are
usually manufactured from flame retardant PVC blended with HCL additive and smoke absorbent.
These materials help improve the fire performance of the LSF cables.
The materialshall possess following properties:
1.Good abrasion resistance
2.Excellent mechanical and electrical properties
3.Processed at High Extrusion Speed
4.Long-term reliability
5.Excellent flame retardancy and low smoke with low halogen.
6.Limiting Oxygen Index to BS 7682
7.Halogen Acid Gas Generation to IEC 60754-1
8.Flame Retardant to IEC 60332-3 and BS 4066
HALOGEN FREE FIRE RETARDANT SHEATHING COMPOUND
This material is a Zero Halogen, Low Smoke, Flame Retardant Thermoplastic Compound,
polyolefin based for Sheathing/Jacketing applications. The material shall be high Oxygen
Index, Temperature Index and thermal stress resistance.
The materialshall be consists of special thermoplastic polymers, inorganic filler and other
additives.
It shows good processing and physical properties.
The materialshall possess following properties:
1.Good abrasion resistance
2.High Oxygen Index and Temperature Index
3.Excellent mechanical properties
4.Long-term reliability and Good UV Stability
5.Excellent flame retardancy and low smoke
6.Smoke Density Rating to ASTM D 2843
