We can do something about this. How? Smart City

What is it? A smart city is an urban development vision to integrate information and communication
technology (ICT) and Internet of things (IoT) technology in a secure fashion to manage a city's assets.
Or a city which has more power to make the life of the society easier. A city can be defined as smart
when investments in human and social capital and traditional (transport) and modern (ICT)
communication infrastructure fuel sustainable economic development and a high quality of life, with a
wise management of natural resources, through participatory action and engagement of the society.
There are some key aspects on smart city:
Smart Mobility
Smart Living
Smart People
Smart Economy
Smart Environment
Smart Government

The concept of smart city is very important to be applied. The aim is to bring happiness of society into
reality.
People want prosperity and simplicity in the life. These can be achieved through some factor which is
good education, physical health, nice governance service, healthy environment, existence of facilities
to do businesses, and nice traffic.
Amsterdam is one of the examples. With currently more than 170 projects run in the city, they make it
easier for people to enjoy the life by giving people an app to see which parking space available for
rent, smart traffic management that reduce the length of traffic by 63%, also good incentives for
pedestrians in the form of nice architectural planning.

Another city like Madrid has implemented smart garbage management using an app so people can
monitor their garbage production, and how the garbage recycled.

In Indonesia itself, Bandung has become the pioneer on actualizing smart city. Making a lot of public
space for the people to be creative, to be healthy, and to socialize more. Ridwan Kamil also realize the
need of a device to immediate report an amergency situation thus X-Igent Panic Button were made.

Also theres the program of smart village. Aiming on five important keynotes which are food security,
democratic engagement, health and welfare, education, and local bussiness.
Pondok Ranji, South Tangerang. Which the first program is to integrate the social problem among the
villagers and take a quick action on it. The next is to realize great tourism object such as lake, valley,
and everything in there.

Slowly, We wish to develop more on smart city and village in Indonesia.
