AmgloKemlite Laboratories was founded in 1935 and is headquartered in the U.S. The company
manufactures xenon flash-lamps, which include circular, linear, helical and U-bend flash-lamps.
It also provides DC pulsed laser lamps, krypton arc laser lamps, trigger transformers, intense
pulsed light, halogen, sealed beam PAR, high intensity discharge/metal halide and specialty
PAR lamps for general lighting. The products are used in photographic, stage, warning light,
stroboscopic, aircraft, reprographic, tower, airport runway, laser, machine vision, medical
applications in the U.S. and the international market. It has operations in Bensenville, Illinois,
Largo, Florida. International operation facilities in Juarez, Mexico, Shenzhen, China.

In the year 2013, supply chain management was identified as a function to develop core
competencies and bring competitive edge to the business. By 2015-16 the company
integrated EPC with the SCM to create strategic tie-ups with suppliers for consistent
quality and supply schedules and started using e-sourcing tool for aggregation of
demand, price discovery and systematizing procurement of direct and indirect material
