C. Abstraction: Cultural Heritage is an expression of the ways of

living developed by a community and passed on
from generation to generation, including customs,
practices, places, objects, artistic expressions and
values. Cultural Heritage can be classified into two
types:
 Tangible
 Intangible

Dictionary.com defines the term Tangible as

something that is real, capable and being touched,
substantial and material. This means that in order
for cultural heritage to be Tangible it has to be in
your possession and it must be in the most physical
form.

Examples: The Tangible cultural heritage would be

the actual statue, tourist spots and memorable
places in a country.

Intangible means something that is in capable of

being touched and exists only in connection with
something else. This means that Intangible cultural
heritage still has a value; you just cannot physically
touch that value.

Examples of this include the Festival Dance, Fiestas,

Festivals, Attitudes and many more.

Tangible- something real, concrete and touchable.

Intangible- incapable of being seen, touched, or
easily defined.
