Good afternoon, it’s Thursday, Dec. 22. 2017 at _____________ o’clock and you’re listening to

90.3 WKNJ-FM, Union, New Jersey, and I’m _____________ with the news.

First, In Local News…

We start the day off with bad news as there is a fiery multi-car crash on route 440 this

morning causing delays going southbound. It’s said that the accident happened a little after 6am

and involves seven cars. It is unknown the injuries of everyone involved in the accident, but

multiple ambulences and fire trucks were called. The state police is urging drivers to take

alternate routes to avoid the accident.

In More Local News…

A man Andre Wallace attempted to steal 1500 dollars worth of chainsaw from a Loews attacked

a worker with a shopping cart as he was leaving the building. The worker suffered leg and ankle

injury, but refused treatment. Wallace escape from the premise, but was arrested a week later

and was charged for a second-degree with robbery.

In National News…

Tempers rose in a meeting with Trump and his advisiors about the 2018 midterm elections.

Corey Lewandaski, Trumps formers campaign manager claimed his calls were not being

answered and he was being blocked by the presidents assistant Kelly. Lewandaski also told

Trump that the RNC should be gaining more money for the election on top of the already raised

8.9 million. Trump has said he will spent most of 2018 campaigning for republicans.
In International News…

In a meeting of the foreign secretaries for the UK and Russia Boris Johnson and his Russian

counterpart Sergey Lavrov acknowledged significant problems in their countries' relationship

after meeting Friday in Moscow, but said they would seek to expand cooperation on international

issues. Johnson cites that the “difficulties” could not be ignored, but that both countries must find

some cooperations. Both secetaries said the meeting was useful and they hope to cooperate more

in the future.
In The Weather…

In Union today it will be cloudy, with a high of 47 and a low of 43. Showers are expected in the
evening. With dense fog expected throughout the day.
In Entertainment…

Tom Hanks said he would refuse to screen The Post to the white house. A movie about two
newspapers that Trump frequently criticizes. Hanks said that if it was up to him, he’s rather make
Trump leave the whitehouse then screen it for him.
