Assisting faculty and managing/organizing office emails, students, and appointments,
creating and designing handouts, flyers, and newsletters, recruiting new members to the
program, working one-on-one with first generation or low-income students, offering
mentorship and a person to come to for any questions or concerns.

· Child care for infants through pre-schoolers, planning lessons, through training in child care
educational courses, first aid, behavioral teachings, and more.

· A Cappella group. Wardrobe chair 2014: searching and researching pricing and options,
working with companies for mass orders. Business Manager 2014 – 2015 and 2016-2017:
reaching out to the community for performance opportunities, professional email skills,
updating social media, budgeting and financial upkept, working closely with Grand Valley
State University’s Office of Student Life. President 2015 – 2016: running rehearsals,
maintaining professionality of group, “face” of organization, creating and leading all
Executive Board meetings, keeping track of individual members’ progress, attendance,
and overall well-being, transitioning new members.

· National German Honors Society for those who study the German language and culture.
Members must stay involved in taking German classes and maintain a 3.3 GPA in those
courses. Members are also chosen by faculty members personally at Grand Valley.
