Revelation 14:13 NIV  Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead 
who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their 
deeds will follow them.” 
 
1 Thessalonians 4:13­14 NIV   Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed 
about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no 
hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring 
with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 
 
 
John 11:25­26 NIV   Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes 
in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do 
you believe this?” 
 
Romans 14:8 NIV  If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether 
we live or die, we belong to the Lord. 
 
Revelation 21:4 NIV  ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or 
mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” 
 
2 Corinthians 5:8 NIV  We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and

1 Corinthians 15:42­44 NIV   So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is 
sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; 43 it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is 
sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. 
If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 
 
Job 1:21 KJV   And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return 
thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. 
 
James 4:13­14 KJV  Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and 
continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: 14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on 
the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then 
vanisheth away.

eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 
 
2 Peter 3:9   The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. 
Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to 
repentance.
