This single volume of book is large enough to cover the
expanse of undergraduate syllabus, yet small enough to
contain within the grasp of an average medical student.
The formatting of the text with capital lettered and
coloured print headings simplies quick locating of
any topic of interest of the reader. All tables in coloured
boxes and colored numbering of ‘parts’ near the margin
of every page further help the busy student. This book
has 818 pages and consists of 9 parts, appendices and
a detailed index. It has been updated keeping in view
the recommendations of the Medical Council of India,
regarding MBBS syllabus. As a short textbook, it
almost fulls the requirement of Kathmandu University
MBBS curriculum and is a useful helping book. Written
in a very simple language and illustrated with numerous
tables and coloured photos and diagrams makes the
reading a real pleasure. Quality print on good papers
and hard cover binding enhanced the value of the book.
In conclusion, this book is strongly recommended for all
the medical students, interns and paediatric residents.
