I am Patricia Mae C. Parungao, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in

Psychology of CEU – Malolos and a recent passer of the 2017
Psychometrician Board Exam. I write to you this letter as an application for
partial sponsorship. I make this application to your good office for I am one
of the young Filipinos selected to represent the Philippines as a Youth
Assembly Delegate1 in the upcoming 2018 Winter Youth Assembly at the
United Nations.2 The event is going to be held 13-17 February 2018 at the
UN Headquarters, New York, however, orientation shall be conducted here
in Manila on 11-13 February 2018 here in Manila.3
I seek aid from your good office as one of your constituents in Bulihan,
Malolos City and as one of your firm supporter. The delegate conference will
provide me an avenue to address the advocacies that are personally dear to
me and having you as one of the people who can help me make this come
true, would be an absolute honor.
The theme for 2018 UN Winter Youth Assembly is entitled “Innovation
and Collaboration for a Sustainable World”. The conference will focus on
the environmental dimensions of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The following
goals will be the focus of the said Assembly:
Goal 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation
Goal 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy
Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities
Goal 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production
Goal 15 – Life on Land
The event will serve as a forum to open up new pathways for
cooperation, while harnessing the creativity and energy of youth delegates
for global impact.

 Chosen delegates, like myself are required to pay the Delegate Package 4
(Shared Occupancy = USD 2,465; Single Occupancy = USD 2,765) which is
inclusive of the following:

- Admissions & Certificate

- 3D2N Manila Accommodations, Meals, and Seminars
- Round-trip flight arrangement between MNL and JFK
- Travel/healthcare insurance
- Airport transfers and local transportations
- 2018 Winter Youth Assembly at the United Nations (YA)
- Visit and Briefing at a Permanent Mission to the United Nations
- United Nations Guided Tour in English
- Youth Assembly Gala Reception
- 2018 Winter Youth Assembly Completion Certificate
- 4-Night accommodation at a standard 3-4 star hotel within walking
distance to the UN
- 4 Breakfast, 3 Lunch, and 2 Dinner meals
- Youth Assembly exclusive souvenir/s

The said amounts, however, does not include Visa application fees and
personal incidentals and expenses.

For me to be able to participate in the said event, I must be able to

come up with the amount required for the Delegate Package. To save on
costs, I have chosen the Shared Occupancy Package which is in the amount
of USD 2,465 or PHP 124,306.61 (exchange rate as of 17 December 2017.)
The last day to pay the full amount shall be on 06 January 2018.

Considering the amount required for delegates to participate, I am

applying to your good office for partial financial assistance for me to be
able to attend the said event. I am actively looking and requesting for other
partial sponsorships from other institutions for me to be able to come up
with the said amount i.e. Lions Club Philippines, San Miguel Foundation,
etc. I would greatly appreciate the help and support that you could extend
to help me regarding this matter.
Attached hereto are the following documents: a copy of my
government issued ID, my personal curriculum vitae5, formal acceptance
letter from Siklab (the official partner of the UN Youth Assembly in the
Philippines), and the Event Primer for 2018 Winter Youth Assembly at the
United Nations.
