Revision P and subsequent revisions of the EFD1000/500 Installation Manual limit the eligible aircraft on 
this AML.  Specifically, unless otherwise identified in the Assumptions and Limitations paragraph in Section 
5 of the Installation Manual, aircraft with a certified maximum takeoff gross weight of more than 12,500 
pounds are not eligible for STC10822SC due to the additional operational requirements imposed when a 
type rating is required. 
 
Certain aircraft listed on this AML can be certified or modified to permit a maximum takeoff weight of 
more than 12,500 pounds. These aircraft are not eligible for STC10822SC unless specifically allowed in the 
Installation Manual.

1 STC SA10822SC

1.1 Overview

STC SA10822SC authorizes installation of the various EFD1000 / EFD500 Electronic Flight
Instrument System equipment into the make and model aircraft listed on the Approved
Model List attached to the STC.

The AML should be consulted for applicability prior to installation.

The installer must record the airplane make, model, registration number, and serial
number where indicated on the EFD1000 AFMS and Instructions for Continued
Airworthiness documents, and include these documents in the Aircraft Fight Manual and
permanent maintenance records respectively.

STC SA10822SC includes the FAA approved Installation Manuals (including Instructions
for Continued Airworthiness), the FAA approved Airplane Flight Manual Supplement
(AFMS) and the FAA Approved Model List (AML). It is important to note that the EFD1000
/ EFD500 Installation Manual 900-00003-001 and EWR50 Installation Manual 900-
00007-001 contain FAA-Approved Data and can be used by those seeking installation
approval for aircraft not included in the EFD1000 AML, where permitted by National
Aviation Authority policy and guidance.

NOTE: The asterisk ( * ) in the TCDS column indicates that that some models of the TCDS
are not included in the AML.

1.2 Permission Statement

In accordance with FAA Order 8110.4c, or later release, Aspen Avionics Inc. hereby grants
permission to all National Aviation Authority (NAA) installers who are Authorized Aspen
Avionics Inc. Dealers in good standing to use STC SA10822SC data to modify aircraft with
either factory new, factory rebuilt, or factory altered EFD1000 / EFD500 Electronic Flight
Instrument Systems equipment.

Permission is not granted for installation of used equipment.

Any and all other parties require separate written authorization to use STC SA10822SC
and associated data, which is the proprietary data of Aspen Avionics Inc.
