FoRM #72o81-F
Enco Mill Drill added notes:

Do not trust the wiring diagrams. Use the diagram inside the wiring-cover of the motor if it's
there.

Check pulleys and other attachmenb with sebcrews for tightness. They may be loose or
missing as shipped.

If possible, wire the machine for 240 volts. The power swikh is marginal for 120, and may
melt or burn out with continued use. If you have a single phase motor, there is a set of
contacts unused in the switclr, which you can use if one set burns out

Wiring is very tight The cable loops inside the head are very dfficult to getback in if
removed. ff working on the switcfu try to avoid removing them.

The scraping on the table gibs is pretty rough. It is probably worthwhile to take them out and
hone or rescrape them. It may improve table movement

When changing belb, make surc you retighten the two bolts holding the idler pulley brackeb
around tlre column. They tend to loosen and tlre pulleys rattle. I replaced mine with longer
bolb with a very stiff spring to allow adjustment without tools.

When changing speeds, give the motor a little shove outward before tightening the clamp. The
spring is weak, and the pivot a little rough.

Later Rong Fu mill drills have hinges on the le{t side of the belt cover. The hole for the
column is elongated to the right to allow it to swing up over the column. This can be done
with the Enco fairly easily and makes belt changing much less of a chore. You will still have
to lower the quill to clear the collet closer.
