Detailed Syllabus for SSC CHSL Tier I

2017 (Based on Latest Pattern)


The SSC CHSL 2017 Recruitment notification was released recently. The SSC CHSL
online registration has started from 18th November & will continue till 18th December
2017. All of you must have started your preparation in order to reserve one seat for
yourself among 3259 vacancies. Since the SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level Tier I
exam is scheduled on 4th March 2018 to 26th March 2018. Therefore, you have enough
time to prepare for the exam & practice lots of SSC CHSL Tier I Mock Test to get
command over your weak areas. In order to ensure that you cover all the topics of the
syllabus for SSC CHSL exam, here is the detailed Syllabus for SSC CHSL Tier I Exam
2017.

The syllabus below is given for each subject, separately. These subjects are further
divided into topics, sub-topics, weightages, etc. to give you a clear picture of everything

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2017-18

The SSC CHSL Tier I exam will be a computer based test and consist of General
Intelligence, English, Quants and General Awareness sections. Each section will consist
of 25 Qs worth of 50 marks (total paper = 100 Qs & 200 marks). This year the SSC
CHSL Tier I timing has been reduced from 75 min to 60 min. Therefore you will

SSC CHSL Tier I Syllabus 2017-18

The SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level exam will consist of four subjects as below:

1. General Intelligence
2. English Language
3. Quantitative Aptitude
4. General Awareness

Syllabus for SSC CHSL General Intelligence

The General Intelligence subject is known as a reasoning section. The topics that you
will be asked are:

 Types: Semantic (GK and Meaning based), Symbolic (Letters based), Number
(Numerical), Figure (Plane Figures).
 Weightage: 4-6 Qs
 Level: Easy, Not Time Consuming, Direct Questions, These questions will test
your Genaral Knowledge (Semantic), Logics (Symbolic, Number) and Visual
Imagination (Figures)

#2. Blood Relation

 Question Types: General blood relation problem, Family Tree.


 Weightage: 1 Qs
