- Turn the laser to align it with the crosshairs displayed.

- The insertion depth of the module into the clamp changes the length of the laser
beam. The laser beam should be about as wide as the light field at an SID of 115 cm.
Under certain circumstances, it is easier to adjust the laser if the rubberized rail to
insert the copper filters on the side of the laser is removed for the adjustment.
5. When the laser is adjusted correctly and the clamp screws are tightened, switch off the
system again.
6. Install the side and light covers and close the front doors.
7. Switch on the system.
8. Move the table and Bucky wall stand to various positions and check whether the laser
was properly adjusted. If not, repeat the laser adjustment.

Adjusting the focus-near Plates 4.1

Fig. 17: Adjustment gauge for focus-near plates

Adjust the focus-near plates only if this is necessary (e.g. the plates were bent after remov-
ing the protective caps).
An adjustment gauge is included in the shipment to adjust the collimator focus-near plates.
The adjustment gauge is centered by the collimator flange.
The focus-near plates for height and width collimation may just touch the nib on the adjust-
ment gauge or have spacing of max. 1 mm when the collimator is completely closed.
If the plates are out of adjustment, readjust them by carefully bending the support plates.
The lead plates and the guide pins may not be damaged.

If coincidence of the light field to the radiation field is not adequate (e.g. tolerance of the
focal spots), centering of the light field can be performed using 2 Allen screws on the top
of the collimator.

NOTE Under no circumstances may the slot-head screw

(1/Fig. 18 / p. 26) be loosened.

• Adjustment in the X direction (height): If the screw is turned clockwise

(2/Fig. 18 / p. 26), the light field moves to the right and vice versa.

Adjustments 27

• Adjustment in the Y direction (width): If the screw is turned clockwise (3/Fig. 18 / p. 26),
the light field moves back and vice versa. The adjustment path in this direction is
approx. 3 times greater in this direction than in the X direction.
The max. adjustment path is approx. ± 5 mm at an SID of 115 cm.
The adjustment screws may be turned until resistance of the compression springs can be
felt. The screws may not be loose.
After adjusting the light field, if needed, the crosshair window can be readjusted by loosen-
ing the 4 mounting screws on the mounting frame to adjust the line laser.
Please note that the adjustment can have an effect on the system adjustments and,
if necessary, they must be repeated.
