Any experience you have (none essential): I’m a fresher so am new to producing work in the

Cambridge theatre scene, but spent my last seven years at school either being in productions or in
one case assistant directing a large scale musical (with fourteen and fifteen year-olds to boot) so I
have a good understanding of how productions work and what they need to function. In my first
year of sixth form I wrote and directed a play for eleven year-old kids and wrote, directed and
produced a play with a cast of twenty fifteen year-olds, so I also have good experience of getting
large groups of people to where they need to be at a certain time (as well as dealing with
spreadsheets).
Initial ideas: My main ideas would involve doing whatever the producer tells me to do, but I do
think it would be really fun to explore the amount of humour we can put into the promotion of the
show (especially playing on 2017 meme culture). I also think it would be important to be adaptable
as possible in getting the production what it needs, as often with a sketch show that’s in the process
of being developed during rehearsals that isn’t always clear from the off.
Answer the following question: Ross Kemp — on gangs? Off gangs?: Whilst I gather that the
series has been critically acclaimed, I’m not sure that a BAFTA for best factual series means much
these days anyway. I also did prefer Mr Kemp in his stint as Grant on Eastenders rather than in his
stint as an investigative journalist, so my conclusion would be off gangs.
